Services already under resourced and overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, Germany have legalised cannabis.

48 year old man was charged with possession of €46.40 worth of cannabis.

He had difficulties with alcohol but no longer drinks due to his use of cannabis as a substitute.

The judge found the man guilty and fined him €500.

Today's debate on cannabis decriminalisation was another step forward in building a national consensus on the need for reform.

The Government gave a very weak contribution and proposed to delay any progress on the bill for nine months.

Reform is popular, time to change the law.

Source out of Washington D.C. says marijuana rescheduling is "imminent."

No wonder there's been so many senators calling for de-scheduling this week. If they know it won't happen, it's a safe political play, and they position themselves in front of the issue for November.

RTÉ broadcasted a radio piece today which platformed anti-cannabis rhetoric without another guest or doctor with alternative views to balance the opinions expressed.

Not great to see many misrepresentations shared on the public airwaves without a counter voice.
