Detach, babygirl. He doesn’t like you like that. He likes that you’re pretty, available, and easy to access. Don’t confuse convenience and attention with genuine interest.
Just because someone keeps you around doesn’t mean they’re choosing you. People keep you close because they like having access to you. They like your attention, your comfort, your loyalty, the way you’re always there when they need you. But being wanted when it’s convenient isn’t the same as being intentionally chosen. Choosing you means being clear about wanting you in their life. It means showing up, making an effort, making room for you and giving you something solid enough that you don’t have to constantly question where you stand. Don’t confuse being kept around with being chosen. You deserve someone who doesn’t just want access to you. You deserve someone who genuinely wants a life with you.
I don’t care what some of you say honestly. Kenyans watching a young girl being bullied and decide to show up to where the bully’s father is is an absolute cinema I’m sure she’ll think again before bullying anyone else I’m even happier that the victim knows she’s not alone
I don’t think people realize you can push someone to the point where they genuinely don’t want anything to do with you anymore. Friendship, relationship, family etc it doesn’t matter. There’s only so much one person can take before they just stop trying.
I'm in love with this quote
"if you don't let people experience the consequences of their actions towards u, you will remain a safe place for their worst behavior"
The hard truth is, sometimes he didn’t value you or the relationship the way you valued it. And that’s why he was able to detach. Not because you weren’t worth loving. Not because you weren’t enough. Not because there was something inherently wrong with you. He simply wasn’t willing to keep choosing the relationship when choosing it required effort, consistency, vulnerability and intention. You kept looking for the reason he stopped pursuing you. You wondered what you did wrong, what changed, what you could have done differently and whether there was something you could say that would make him care again. But sometimes the answer is painfully simple. He knew what he had. He just didn’t value it enough to keep fighting for it. And that realisation hurts because you would have done differently. You would have communicated. You would have tried again. You would have fought through the difficult moments because losing him wasn’t something you could imagine casually accepting. Closure is accepting that you were willing to fight for a relationship that the other person was willing to let go of. It doesn’t mean you weren’t worth choosing. It means they simply weren’t willing to choose you the way you deserved.
Some men don’t choose healing, accountability, or inner work. They just look for someone new a fresh start with a woman who hasn’t learned their patterns yet.
