Robot Pembo isn’t climbing mountains just for the flex. It’s being trained for places where sending a human could mean risking their life.

The Unitree G1 humanoid robot climbed Chimborazo alongside its owner Pablo, crossing slopes with inclines of more than 30° and completing the final ascent in a brutal 16-hour climb.

And it did it under its own power. Now the goal is Everest.

Think about what happens if robots like this become reliable in extreme environments.

Search-and-rescue missions where humans can’t safely reach.

Disaster zones filled with rubble, fire, or unstable terrain.

Remote mountains where equipment needs to be delivered without putting another person at risk.
