Mancity vs Real Madrid is a fixture that should be a blood bath. Pep is supposed to win by at least 2—3 goals margin.

Everyone knows the character of Real Madrid in this competition but they only do it when they thick. And right now, they are super short of that.

The fixture also creates a qualitative superiority for Mancity’s wingers (especially Doku vs TAA). But this is super possible if Mancity achieves sustained possession pinning Real Madrid in their own half.

Otherwise, it gets more complicated but City defends transitions way better with Nick O’Reilly in the middle.

No, I would push back a bit. Barcelona fans should know what’s happening. Both in this election & last election, the one who has a very clear proposal is Victor Font (BY FAR).

In fact in the last election, Laporta declared his interest late & it was when he saw Bartomeu was not going to be on the ballot or would lose. He knew he was more popular than Font. He took that advantage.

My believe in the Frenkie & Pedri synergy grew more after Newcastle—Barcelona in the league phase. They passed Newcastle to death. So much so that Gordon & Guimaraes were testifying to how much they suffered.

Fdj completed 99% of his passes; a master of simple pass — keeping it simple & expressing his empathy before every release (delaying & discouraging Newcastle’s press). While he anchored, Pedri was gliding through them & taking the significant risk. Pedri was all over them — he covered 11.2 kilometres, only second to Bruno Guimaraes who covered 11.6 kilometres.

Barça will definitely miss FDJ but they too would be without Guimaraes. Exciting fixture!
