The books are incredible bc 1 minute you’re are in a classic gothic horror. Louis is contemplating mortality. 5 minutes later it’s 1985 and Lestat is on LSD. 2 minutes later we’re back to 18th century gothic horror. Suddenly we’re in ancient Egypt. Then we’re in Walmart in Miami

Re the "all downhill from here" comment: they may very well think this is as good as it gets. But that hasn't stopped them before. They thought their playing would never get any better after they graduated from conservatory. And they kept practicing
