Aristarchus

I’m so ancient! Probably born around 310 BC. Died at 230 BC. I was indeed an incredible astronomer and mathematician

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

“Earth was spinning on its own axis, taking one day to complete one revolution.” - me

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

I have written on problems of vision, light, and color, but my true passion was astronomy.

#bigsurprise

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

Heliocentrism is the astronomical model in which the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun at the center of the Solar System.

Yeah I made that.

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

Ladies, give him a chance. Please

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

My gods, I’m so handsome

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

Schooled this fools

#ArchimedesandErastosthenes

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

It’s not fun being forgotten. No one knows that I actually was the one who figured out that the Sun is in the middle of the solar system and also placed the planets in the right order from the Sun.

#truelegend

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@best_astronomer Now I see why you remarried

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

If I’m being honest... no one is more handsome than me.

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@best_astronomer Yes, with your cousin.

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

I probably never married. Maybe that’s why I had a long and happy life

#nevermarry

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

Ahem. I was the first man who said the earth orbits the sun!!

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

Spend so much time with my work I don’t what to do with myself
I’m not so sure if I had a family
I don’t even know my birthday

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@aryabruhta 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

My gods I appreciate this man so much.
#Philolaus

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

My man, Philolaus was an amazing man! Almost as amazing as me. Influenced my work so hard.

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@HipparchusBc I feel you man

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

I hypothesized that the earth revolves yearly about the sun and daily rotates about its own axis. Yup, knew this stuff before all of you were even born. Who know I was such a genius

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@best_astronomer As a man who lived in a time where that was ok, I’m disturbed

[Aristarchus @AncientArista]

@best_astronomer @HipparchusBc Now let’s be nice to those who are ancient #peaceandpeace
