FROM THE OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN
NIGERIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS, NDC
PRESS STATEMENT
RE: PURPORTED OK MOVEMENT PCC ANNOUNCEMENT
The leadership of our party ,the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has noted with concern a publication credited to one John Ugulu announcing a Presidential Campaign Council under the guise of "OK Movement."
For the avoidance of doubt, the party wishes to state categorically as follows:
The party hereby dissociates itself in totality from the said OK Movement PCC announcement. It did not emanate from the party and should be disregarded by the public and the media.
All candidates of the party must appreciate that they are not running as independent candidates. They are products of the party and remain subject to the authority and discipline of the party. Therefore. only the party’s leadership can constitute and announce a Presidential Campaign Council PCC.
No member, candidate, or support group should, under any guise, undermine the party or demarket the party.
Henceforth, no individual or group is authorized to announce, constitute, or publish any campaign council, structure, or organ in the name of the party without prior approval from the National Working Committee (NWC).
The party recognizes and deeply appreciates the contributions of all support groups and encourages their continued support. We welcome even more support groups who identify with our mission to rescue Nigeria.
While the party will continue to work collaboratively with all support groups, such groups should not see themselves as alternative party structures or parallel organs of the party.
We expect a stop to unnecessary attacks against the party on whose platform our candidates are running. If there are any differences or grievances, support groups and members are advised to refer such matters to the party through appropriate internal channels for resolution rather than resorting to public attacks.
For this act of affront and his excesses during the primary election in Lagos State, and for his repeated disregard for party authority, the party is constrained to enforce disciplinary measures against Mr. Ugulu. He is hereby referred to the appropriate disciplinary organ of the party for necessary action in line with the provisions of the party's constitution.
The party remains focused on its issue-based campaign and is committed to delivering a New Nigeria that is POssible.
Thank you.

2027 will be interesting!!
"I will change the North. I have an idea of what is happening in the North, and nobody can drive that process in Nigeria better than me. I will work with them and ensure the unity, security and prosperity they desire are achieved," says Peter Obi.
Seun: "When politicians come on my programme and keep mentioning your name, how does that make you feel?"
Peter Obi: "Calling me names doesn't make me feel anything. They are abandoning the issues we are supposed to discuss and discussing what I think is irrelevant. Instead of discussing the problems of the country, people come before you to discuss Peter Obi.

"President Bola Tinubu is tired; he should be allowed to retire in peace and go home and rest," says Peter Obi.
"The Bola Tinubu that was governor [in Lagos State] is not the one who is now president. He is leading us nowhere; he doesn't have the capacity to do the job," he adds.

JUST IN: "NIGERIA 🇳🇬 GEO-POLITICAL ZONE BILL 2026
[1] As of October 1 2026, Nigeria’s six geo-political zones will become official and constitutional organs of government. This means that there will be four tiers of administration in Nigeria - Federal, Zonal, State and Local governments

NDC Primaries Hold Nationwide May 29
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has made clarifications regarding its scheduled Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, and State Assembly primaries. The primaries are still scheduled to hold nationwide on May 29, 2026, in keeping with the original May 28 and 29 timetable.
However, in view of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and the resulting public holidays, major transportation and logistical challenges have arisen, including the non-availability of flights. Consequently, many aspirants who were in Abuja for the screening exercise, as well as members of the screening team, are currently stranded in Abuja.
Consequently, the party has decided that May 28 should be used for arrivals, documentation with INEC and security agencies, consultative meetings, and other preparations, while the actual primaries will now hold on May 29.
The teams will use May 28 to also hold meetings with stakeholders, party elders, as well as aspirants in their respective states.
No agencies of the state, viz: Police, INEC, DSS, etc., are to play any role in the programmes and meetings of May 28. Any activities carried out outside these guidelines would be unauthorized and deemed illegal.
The processes of the primaries on May 29 will be as follows:
1. Presidential affirmation
2. National Assembly primaries/affirmation
3. State Assembly primaries/affirmation
4. Governorship primaries/affirmation
The respective teams will collate and process all results and forward them to the National Headquarters, where the National Working Committee will announce the results.
No state executive or team has the mandate to announce any results.
We call for understanding and urge all participants to conduct themselves responsibly, as the party has zero tolerance for violence, disorderly conduct, and hooliganism.
Signed:
Senator Moses Cleopas
National Chairman
Barr. Ikenna Alex-Morgan Enekweizu
National Secretary

NDC — Service to the People! 🇳🇬
In 1998, I was fired from my corporate job while 9 months pregnant because and I quote, “my priorities would be elsewhere after the baby is born.”
The lawyer I hired told me I didn’t have a case because discrimination like “that” was almost impossible to prove.
So I got pissed.
Took the LSAT. Went to law school. Passed the bar. Had 3 more kids.
Twelve years later, another woman from that same company was fired for the same reason. She sued them for a million dollars, and won, partly because I had kept every piece of evidence from what happened to me years prior demonstrating a systemic pattern of discrimination against women.
That company no longer exists. My law practice is thriving. And that baby they said would derail my priorities? She’s a brilliant attorney now working at my firm.
Turns out my priorities were indeed, elsewhere.
