This afternoon, The ANCYL President Cde Collen Malatjie was in Mamelodi, Tshwane, leading a door-to-door voter registration programme and engaging residents on the importance of participating in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

With less than 100 days to go, young people must take responsibility for the future of their communities.

The ANCYL NEC Member Cde Emmanuel Mongwe spent the day at TUT Polokwane Campus leading a Food Parcel Drive in support of students in need.

The programme also included a door-to-door campaign, engaging directly with students, listening to their concerns, and encouraging to register to vote and take up on the 4th November 2026.

The initiative reflects the ANCYL’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind while strengthening grassroots engagement on campus.

ANCYL NEC Member Cde Wandile Mofokeng, alongside ANCYL Gauteng PEC Member Cde Palesa Molefe, led the #Operation_Faka_Umtwana_Eskolweni programme this afternoon, assisting parents, guardians, learners, and prospective students with university applications.

The programme also supported young people with voter registration ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections, helping to ensure that more young people can exercise their democratic right and play an active role in shaping the future of their communities.

ANCYL Secretary General Cde Tsakani Shiviti addressed learners during the PYA High School Thursday and Voter Registration Programme at Bedfordview High School in the Ekurhuleni Region.

She was joined by ANCYL Gauteng Provincial Secretary Cde Mpume Sangweni, COSAS Deputy Secretary General Cde Busang Lekeka and actor and youth activist Connet Mamabolo.

The programme encouraged eligible first-time voters to register and participate in the 2026 Local Government Elections. Learners also benefited from an inspiring motivational session delivered by Connet Mamabolo, who encouraged them to pursue their dreams, remain focused on their education and become active participants in building a better South Africa.

On The second programme of the day, The ANCYL President, Cde Collen Malatji led a courtesy visit to the Royal Norwegian Embassy, where he engaged with Ambassador H.E. Anne Beathe Kristiansen as part of the ANCYL’s ongoing international relations programme.

Earlier today, ANCYL Secretary General Cde Tsakani Shiviti, alongside ANCYL Gauteng Provincial Secretary Cde Mpume Sangweni, COSAS Deputy Secretary General Cde Busang Lekeka Cde Connet Mamabolo, and the leadership, held a briefing session with the school leadership ahead of the Progressive Youth Alliance (PYA) High School Thursday and Voter Registration Programme.

The session focused on coordinating the day’s programme and strengthening mobilisation efforts ahead of engagements with learners.

The programme will include engagements with eligible 1st voters, encouraging them to register to vote and participate in shaping the future of their communities through the democratic process.
