Air India Fails: Business Class Nightmare & Safety Breach - Demand Accountability and Fair Compensation! 🚨📷

I’m appalled by the recent experience I had with @airindia and their inadequate response to a serious service and safety failure on my flight. Here's my story: I paid INR 192,617.94 for a round trip in business class from DEL to TOKYO for my mom, who has back pain and they have offered me a mere compensation of INR 5,000.

I booked business class to ensure she could travel in comfort and luxury. Instead, she faced an unacceptable ordeal. The seat assigned to her had a broken seatbelt. Luckily, the seat next to her was vacant, so she was offered that one. However, once the plane took off, she discovered that the second seat wouldn’t recline. Since it was a night flight and she wanted to sleep comfortably on a flatbed, she had to switch back to her original seat, which did not have a functional seatbelt. Throughout the turbulence, my mom had to sit worried without a seatbelt.

When I reported this to Air India, after several emails back and forth, they offered me a mere INR 5,000 as compensation for the trauma she endured. This is simply ridiculous. If you pay a premium for business class, you expect a particular level of service. Faulty seats and broken seatbelts are serious issues that should not be brushed off so lightly. Safety is non-negotiable. Anything could have happened during the heavy turbulence.

This isn’t just about the money; it’s about the principle and the service promised. Air India’s response is not just inadequate; it’s insulting. Remember Admiral Anil Kumar Saxena’s recent court case against Air India for similar issues with poor service and unserviceable seats on premium tickets: https://t.co/JNfUpUSEbT

DGCA has framed Rule 53 of the Aircraft Rules, 1937, to oversee the condition of aircraft, and has been imposing penalties on airlines for non-compliance. International aviation laws also apply since it was a long-haul flight. Air India, especially during its rebranding phase, cannot afford to ignore these issues. Air India’s negligence in pre-flight safety checks should not go unpunished. They should be held accountable for their lack of proper safety measures and for failing to provide the service they promised. I demand a full refund for the leg from DEL to NRT due to their negligence.

I urge @airindia 's management to reconsider their compensation and take responsibility for their service failures. This is not just a domestic issue; it's an international one. Please share and repost this message to the maximum so that we can hold Air India accountable and ensure they provide the service they promise and the safety they are obligated to maintain. Let's make sure no one else has to go through this.

Air India Fails: Business Class Nightmare & Safety Breach - Demand Accountability and Fair Compensation! 🚨📷

I’m appalled by the recent experience I had with @airindia and their inadequate response to a serious service and safety failure on my flight. Here's my story: I paid INR 192,617.94 for a round trip in business class from DEL to NRT for my mom, who has back pain and they have offered me a mere compensation of INR 5,000.
