Izinkan saya untuk menjelaskan beberapa hal dari video ini.

Pertama. Saya minta maaf jika dianggap tidak menghargai visi dan semangat para Aktivis 98.

Saya justru sangat menghargai mereka yang berjuang untuk Reformasi.

Jadi saya minta maaf jika terkesan demikian.

Saya memang harus lebih banyak belajar lagi.

Kedua. Saya bukan aktivis. Saya hanya seorang content creator yang resah dan peduli dengan isu politik di Indonesia.

Jika saya dipanggil aktivis, itu sangat tidak adil bagi mereka yang benar benar berjuang sebagai aktivis di negara ini.

Salah satunya adalah almarhum Papa saya, Timotheus Polycarpus Teka da Lopez.
Papa dulu adalah Ketua Dewan Mahasiswa Atmajaya yang terlibat di Gerakan Malari tahun 1974, dan Gerakan Mahasiswa 1977-1978; Kampus Kuning, yang kemudian ditahan di Bekasi.

Dan juga Mama saya tercinta, Hendra Henny Andries (FS-UI 1974, sekarang FIB UI) yang merupakan aktivis sampai saat ini juga.

Dari seruan aksi kemarin tanggal 22 Agustus 2024, saya belajar banyak dan sadar betapa hebat dan beraninya Papa dan Mama jaman dulu ketika berjuang.

Apa yang saya lakukan tidak seberani Papa dan Mama zaman dulu dan juga mereka yang berjuang di tahun 98.

Saya akan mengakhiri tweet ini dengan sebuah quotes dari Isaac Newton.

“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants”.

Terima kasih semua generasi aktivis sebelumnya, dari masa ke masa, dari tahun berapapun, mau itu 74 atau 98, karena telah membuka jalan untuk generasi sekarang.

Kita semua mempunyai satu persamaan.

Melawan ketidakadilan.

Kita kawal ini terus sampai selesai.
Jangan lengah.
Semangat untuk yang melakukan seruan aksi di KPU hari ini.

We met @AndovidaLopez among the protesters yesterday at the front of the @DPR_RI building and he shared his views with @RT_com.

“This has been a culmination, a culmination of bad policy, near empathy, no empathy from the people who are saying, bad communication from the government, efficiency to the bottom, but the top is still going abroad, without whatever how much budget they have. This is not a specific moment. Yes, Afan Kurniawan's death, when he was rolled over by the tank, gave the light to the fire, but that light to the fire isn't something that was instantaneous. It was something that was built over time. And if you want to distill these actions, these demands, in three words: transparency, reformation, and for God's sake, some empathy.”
