@bus_usa Wk15: My lifelong career path is business management and the techniques learned in this course will help with mining data to be able to make the best business decisions. Regression analysis and forecasting are a couple of the topics that I believe would be very useful.
@bus_usa Week 13: Chapter 19 Homework on Price Index, Inflation, and Returns is done and done. This chapter is very relatable to what I do at work as a Cost Account Manager. Particularly the Price Index section.
@bus_usa Week 12: Finally a little break from some of the more complex statistic problems. Chapter 19 shows us how to calculate investment returns, how to calculate indices like Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index, and how to calculate inflation rates.
@bus_usa Week 10 is on chapter 18 which is on forecasting. In this chapter we learned about different models to be able to forecast information using historical data. Using dummy variables or exponential factors are some of the methods we learned.
@bus_usa Week 8: Excel, excel, and more excel. Week 8 was on chapter 15 which is a more in depth usage of linear regression models to determine individual and joint significance. Also covers general tests of linear restrictions.
@bus_usa Week 5: Multi variant regression was very interesting. I see this being very useful in all sorts of things besides predicting the price of a house by number of beds, baths, and square footage.
@bus_usa Week 7: Couldn’t have done the Midterm on Chapters 12, 13, and 14 without the excel spreadsheets. Good thing Excel can be downloaded from the Apple Store!
@bus_usa Ch. 12 is on Chi-Square Tests which are used to compare observed data against predetermined expected frequencies. This comparison is used to determine change in the data being analyzed or determine if two categories are dependent of each other.
