President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day.
Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine.
As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia.
America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration.
Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Slava Ukraini🇺🇸🇺🇦
Putin now purposefully kills Ukrainian civilians on a daily basis. That is terrorism.
By providing billions to Putin through his so-called "diesel deal", Trump is funding terrorism.
Disgraceful.
russia launched a missile strike on a store in the outskirts of Kharkiv, killing 3 people and injuring 7 others. A child is among the injured.
Rescuers and other emergency services are working around the clock.

If people want elections in Ukraine, then they should be pressuring Putin to end the war. The reason there’s no elections in Ukraine right now is because Ukraine is under Martial law due to the nonstop state of emergency and active state of war that has consumed the country for 5 years.
When Putin ends the war, I’m sure there will be an election in Ukraine.
It seems counterintuitive to ask Ukraine to replace Zelenskyy when an election can and will happen once Putin agrees to end the war.
Putin can easily stop attacking Ukraine.
He refuses. End the war and Ukraine will have an election.
Why aren’t more people angry with Putin? He’s the source of every issue concerning the Russia-Ukraine war.
Immediately after President Trump announced an energy truce, the Russians damaged a power plant in Kharkiv, Ukraine. That is how Putin respects President Trump.
🇺🇸‼️🇺🇦 The Trump administration is threatening to halt the PURL procurement system that supplies Ukraine with weapons in order to force Kyiv to stop attacks on Russian refineries, — Financial Times.
According to European officials, the US is also threatening to stop intelligence sharing.
American officials on Saturday and Sunday “called everyone”: both Kyiv and European capitals.
BREAKING: Russia has struck Kharkiv’s Thermal Power Plant No. 5, right as Trump called for an energy truce between Russia and Ukraine.
“There has just been a Russian strike on TPP-5 in Kharkiv,” Zelensky said.
IMPORTANT ‼️
RUSSIA IS BOMBING KHARKIV'S TERMINAL POWER PLANT 5 RIGHT NOW ‼️
There was several missile strikes already during the last 15 minutes. Trump’s ceasefire didn't work.
The Russians have just attacked the CHPP-5 thermal power plant in Kharkiv – Zelenskyy.
According to the President, the Russians have carried out more than 200 attacks on power generation and transmission facilities in Ukraine, as well as 17 attacks on gas and oil infrastructure, over the past week.
There is no energy truce; Trump has lied to the whole world, as always.
🚨 BREAKING: A Russian strike on a residential area in Kharkiv killed one woman and injured 10 others, including a child.
Emergency crews are currently on scene clearing rubble and assessing widespread structural damage.
🔴 A 13-year-old boy named Maksym has died in the Rivne region from injuries sustained during a Russian attack.

On October 10, russia struck residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, killing 3 children: Yelyzaveta Sorochyshyna, Anna Mur-Zak, and Polina Foshchan.
The russian attack also claimed the lives of 17 adults.
Our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of all the victims.
russia’s war is not over. Every day, it takes Ukrainian lives.
In just a few days this week, russian strikes killed 78 people and injured 215 more. Children killed in their sleep. Passengers on ordinary buses. Families who lost their homes in a single night. And month after month, russia isn’t easing its terror—it’s escalating it.
Looking away now means leaving Ukraine alone against an evil that won’t stop at its borders.

Good call with @ZelenskyyUa today.
Fully supported the call of President Zelenskyy for a ceasefire that would protect global food supplies and energy infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia
The war has entered a new, grimmer phase.
Russia is stalling on the battlefield and striking civilians far behind the front lines.
I conveyed our solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
And my full support for President Zelenskyy as he leads the fight for his people’s freedom.
Ukraine will be front and centre at this week’s European Council.
We will discuss its funding needs for the year ahead and how to mobilise fresh global support.
This week, the EU will also provide further funding for drones and missiles.
To strengthen Ukraine’s defences and protect its skies.
We are also due to open two further clusters of chapters in the negotiations.
The momentum is real.
I am grateful to all our emergency services, who are always there for our people and work to address the aftermath of brutal Russian strikes. Only this morning, search and rescue operations were completed in Zaporizhzhia, where Russia killed 23 people, including four children. Yesterday, the Russians struck a medical facility in Kharkiv, and overnight there were Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, and energy infrastructure. This morning, the Russians struck a five-story apartment building in Slovyansk – an entire section of the building was destroyed, and people may still be under the rubble.
And this continues unabated – this week alone, the Russians have used around 1,450 aerial bombs, 75 missiles of various types, and more than 1,640 attack drones, about 60% of them jet-powered.
Today, we will continue coordinating with partners – there will be talks with European leaders. Virtually every day, we coordinate at different levels and work on additional defense packages, first and foremost air defense and munitions for combat aircraft. All of this is to protect the lives of our people and Ukraine’s interests.
The real cause of the war in Europe is Russia and Russia alone. It is possible to stop strikes on energy infrastructure as early as today, but Putin does not want to do so. Ukraine will be ready to stop striking Russian oil refineries if Russia stops striking our energy infrastructure. Any de-escalation steps must be reciprocal and backed by real guarantees.
Q: How long can Ukraine continue to defend itself? It's been almost five years of war.
President Zelenskyy: We need to do it, I mean, to stop this war as quick as possible. We count that United States will help us to do this. I hope so.
We count on president, his team involving to stop Putin, but to stop Putin. And I think this is the main goal to stop him. This is the main deal to stop this war.
And we count on American support. Then, and of course, we count on our European partners.
And I hope that we will save this unity, Europe and the United States. It's not simple, by the way, really not simple. We work hardly each day to save this.
But in any way, we will defend ourselves because otherwise, we will lose our life and homes, our freedom, independence, Ukraine. Yeah, we can't lose it. And the truth is on our side.
Rescue efforts at the site of the russian strike on an apartment building in Zaporizhzhia have been completed.
The attack killed 20 civilians, including four children, and injured 32 others.
