@MontelEvans I can't believe our class is already over! There was so much great information I acquired from this class. Now more than ever I look forward in my continuing journey to become a teacher, thanks to you. #WeAreGraceland
@MontelEvans I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little nervous about doing my presentation last night but like you said, how can we ask our students to do what we aren't able to do ourselves? I hope to be a great example for my students. #WeAreGraceland#PsychOfExcep
@MontelEvans There is such a stigma for having a learning disability. Just because someone is learning disabled doesn't mean they are less intelligent, they just learn in a different way #WeAreGraceland#PsychOfExcep
@MontelEvans My takeaway from class was, don't be a "lemon teacher" be a teacher that comes to class and makes students change their attitude toward education #WeAreGraceland#PsychOfExcep
@MontelEvans I really liked the idea that just because an answer is unknown, it still means it's possible, when referring to what a student is capable of #PsychOfExcep#WeAreGraceland
@MontelEvans you mentioned how important consistency is with students. One example, don't suddenly change the setting you have a student test in, start it at the beginning of the year to set them up for success. #WeAreGraceland#PsychofExcep
@MontelEvans As teachers, it is our job to develop a positive relationship with our students, because if they don't like you or feel as though you don't care, they are less likely to learn from you. #WeAreGraceland#PsychOfExcep
@MontelEvans One of the things you said from last night's class, that resonated with me, was that kids are the future and it's our job as teachers to guide them, not force them to conform to what we want them be. #WeAreGraceland#PsychofExcep
