Nagwan Al-Guneid is an energy expert, a mother and one of the Globe and Mail’s 50 Changemakers reinventing how Canada does business.
She’s also the next MLA for Calgary-Glenmore!
But she’s in a tight race and she needs your support: https://t.co/TPJc4uPHgV @NagwanYYC
It’s simple:
Albertans want a leader they can trust and a government that is focused on our priorities.
People are showing up to vote for a better future with @RachelNotley & the @albertaNDP!
Today is the last day for advance polls! Get out and vote! 🗳️
Every single large NDP sign from Elbow Valley to Bragg Creek has been vandalized. Mostly with "hilarious" drawings of cock and balls. Which, says two things.. the UCP have the brainpower of underperforming grade 6 students and they're scared.
Michael J Fox has recently stated that living with Parkinson’s disease is ‘getting harder’: “I'm not gonna be 80,” he said.
Fox is an inspiration to so many. A truly great man fighting a horrible disease. Here are some facts about Parkinson’s:
- Parkinson's typically develops in people over the age of 60, but can affect younger individuals as well.
- There is no cure for Parkinson's, but medications and other treatments can help manage symptoms.
- Advances in research are leading to new treatments and therapies for Parkinson's. Researchers are exploring innovative approaches such as gene therapy, stem cell therapy, and deep brain stimulation to alleviate symptoms and slow disease progression.
- Researchers are also exploring the potential of new technologies, such as wearable devices and mobile apps, to help people with Parkinson's better manage their symptoms and monitor their health.
THERE IS HOPE!
Let’s embrace technology and allocate the appropriate resources and funding.
“Smith has declined four times over the past nine days to say whether she stands by a policy paper she wrote in 2021, which urges Albertans to begin paying for services covered by medicare, including visits to a family doctor.”

In one term, an Alberta NDP government will connect every single Albertan with high-speed internet.
It’s ambitious.
It will change lives.
And we will get it done.
Let’s build a better future for all Albertans.
To all those people who want to Take Back Alberta.
It’s isn’t yours.
It never was.
You can’t have it.
It’s doesn’t belong to people who want to go backwards.
It belongs to my friend Ruth, a Harvard trained paediatric cardiologist who helped build our great Stollery Hospital.
It belongs to my friend Elmer who built businesses in two cities.
It belongs to the kids studying renewable energy at NAIT and treaty law at the U of A.
It doesn’t belong to you whiners who discount education and think reading one book is all you need.
Thirty-seven years ago today, Tommy Douglas passed away.
I am asking you to share this message, to remind Doug Ford that he was voted the Greatest Canadian because he spent his life fighting for publicly-funded, publicly-delivered health care.
Let’s honour Tommy’s legacy.
Lily Ebert MBE
It was so humbling to see my incredible, 99 year old, great grandmother receive her MBE today, at Windsor Castle, from His Majesty The King.
Lily said to the King: “I was in the hell, Auschwitz. How special it is to be here today, with The King, in the Palace!”
A quarter of all kilometers cycled in Dutch cities are to/from a train station. Half of all train trips start with a bike ride.
Thanks to the trains, there is more cycling; and thanks to cycling, more train usage. A virtuous circle of sustainable travel.

Today my great grandmother, Lily Ebert, an Auschwitz survivor, turns 99!
“I never thought I would survive Auschwitz and have another birthday. At 99, I celebrate to show that the Nazis did not win!”
All #HappyBirthdayLily wishes and comments will be passed on to Lily. ❤️

Trailers are being set up outside Alberta Children's Hospital, yet @ABDanielleSmith can't even bring herself to endorse the flu shot. She was asked four times at #ableg to do this and refused.
We need a Premier who believes in science. #ableg
