I am a young academic with a knack for science who wants to learn about and study the protists in our ocean. Especially interested in mixotrophs & symbiosis
.@AndreasNorlin collected beautiful data on #Mesodinium feeding response and made this lovely figure in #ggplot and then he gave it to me and I messed it up with my snarky commentary. #figaday 310/n
#Collatz#maths#math#numbers I am new to this party, and by no means a mathematician or familiar with the current literature.
But it seems to me that by proving that (3+1/n1)*(3+1/n2)...=2^n can only be solved by (3+1/1)=2^2 implies that no other loops exist
@mixotrophe If you have a matrix of similar plots you can look into using Facet_grid or Facet_rep_grid from the package lemon. Otherwise try grid.arrange, which I think uses a few packages (GridExtra and Grid at least), for combining various different plots or plots of different sizes.
Read about mass to volume relationships of the beautiful #Radiolaria and #Phaeodaria in this new publication https://t.co/0W3BTIMJHI, which showcases some of the work I have done with Joost and Fabrice as part of my secondments in #MixITiN@mixotrophs. #Mixoplankton#protists
Talking about the beautiful and interesting eSNCM later today at the #MixITiN international conference, when I present my work on "Life in Planktonic Greenhouses; a System Dynamics Approach". #protists#plankton#Radiolaria @MSCActions @CU_EARTH
It has been a very busy 2020 for @MSCActions #MixITiN so far! In February MixITiN HQ moved to @cardiffuni with @DrAditeeMitra joining @CU_EARTH This month we welcome Plymouth Marine Laboratory to The Consortium as Prof Kevin Flynn joins the PML team @PlymouthMarine@kjfplankton
