Since 17.3.20 CH is officially in some sort of "quarantine", meaning "forty or fortieth". Does this not (Matthiew 4,1ff) remind us of Jesus' 40 days in the wilderness, he being challenged for life: bread (body) beauty (soul) power-pride (spirit)? This was quarantine for victory!

In the LORD's prayer, in Matthew 6.11, we ask: "Give us this day our daily bread".That's what we need. But the "daily" is not a repetition of "this day". The Greek EPIOUSION means "the bread on top of the other bread". It is the WORD of God. It feeds our spirit as bread our body.

What is really new and what is just renewed? The NT-Greek makes a difference between NEOS and KAINOS. The latter is the real new thing. This is why the "New" Testament is "KAINÄ" and NOT "NEA". Jesus offers an absolute new redemption by grace and not a renewing one by the law.

Matthew 5,3: "Blessed are the poor in (the) spirit". Is it the destitiute in mind that Jesus blesses? No. The greek text can also be rendered like: "Blessed are those who know about their inward poverty and crave for more of the spirit" - like a beggar.

You know the add:Intel inside? Its the same with God's poeple: JESUS INSIDE, means powered by the Holy Spirit! Thats where God dwells, not in buildings or religious programs!

The word "blessing" sounds close to "confessing". And so it is. The main signification of the Greek HOMOLOGEO means first "to confess" (Rom.10.9) then to "praise/bless". What do we "confess" in praising? We "HOMO-LOGEO" we confess (as God does!) that "CHRIST IS THE LORD (KYRIOS)"

Blessings. All know the word and might even have experienced "to be blessed" by someone. But what is it? Some religious formulas? No. A gift? May be. In biblical Greek blessing is HOMOLOGEO. It means: "To speak (LOGEO) well as (HOMO) God spoke well". Do WE "bless" like this??

"God is love - God is AGAPE" (in biblical greek) see 1st John 4.8. AGAPE means much more RESPECT than feelings. AGAPE means also ASTONISHMENT. So, if God "loves", he respects lovingly - even with amazement. This happens with friends AND foes! It's encouraging. Let's try it, too.

Sometimes it seems better to be "blind" than seeing: "...for we walk by faith, not by sight..."(St. Paul in 2nd Cor.5,7). Jesus, too, says something alike in St.John 9,39 after healing a blind man..does that speak to us?
