It jumps ten inches into the air to clear things in its path.

It locks onto a subject — you, your kid, your dog — and tracks from behind, from the side, or in orbit around you.

Then it edits the footage into a highlight reel by itself.

The craziest part?

The entire pitch is that it replaces the person who'd otherwise be stuck holding a phone.

Every moment worth filming has always required someone to stop living it and become the camera operator.

That job just got automated.

Nearly 2,000 people backed it — 24 times over the funding goal — before a single unit shipped.

Drones made the sky a camera angle.

This makes the ground one.

Consumer robotics is a graveyard. Plenty of impressive machines never found a market.

But that funding number says something changed.

Nobody wants to hold the camera anymore.
