I recently gave another interview for the Economics Matters podcast hosted by Larry and Alex Kotlikoff, where I spoke about the Russian war against Ukraine and how Russia is in serious trouble, and Ukraine's situation is improving.

❗️Onet reports Poland’s failed MiG-29 drone-tech exchange with Ukraine stalled over the aircraft’s condition and the cost of modernization. Ukrainian teams inspected 14 Polish MiG-29s in Malbork and found them heavily worn, especially the landing gear, then asked Warsaw to fund repairs and upgrades. Poland rejected the demand and later tied the impasse to the absence of Ukrainian drone-technology transfer. #Ukraine
Propaganda? These are real graves of real citizens of Poland who were murdered by Armia Krajowa. Poland has committed far more crimes against Ukrainians throughout its history than the other way around. The only difference is that Poles, exactly like the Russians, pretend that they are poor victims and never committed any crimes. So if you want to see some war criminals, go look in the mirror.
Today, no one on Earth can say that we are not fighting for Crimea or that we have forgotten about Crimea. Every day proves that Ukraine remembers every part of its land, every one of its people, and is truly fighting to ensure justice for our entire state and every integral part of it.
Russia brought its war to Ukraine, starting nowhere other than Crimea, and now, with our actions – medium-range sanctions against the Russian occupier, our long-range sanctions plan, and all other forms of pressure on the aggressor – we are doing everything to force Russia to end the war and restore justice. And it is Crimea that is at the center of this policy of ensuring justice. Russia turned Crimea into a launchpad for aggressive operations against other parts of our country and against other nations. For a very long time, Russia has tried to normalize its war – to make Ukraine, all of Europe, and the world accept that its aggression supposedly cannot be stopped and that justice supposedly cannot be restored.
Today, Ukraine is depriving Russia of this launchpad and drawing a line under its attempts to normalize war. And in doing so, we remember that justice for Ukraine also means justice for the Crimean Tatar people – a people forced to endure deportation and decades of oppression, a people who were able to return to their homeland, but whose home the Russians tried to steal again, a people who have preserved their vitality and remain an inseparable part of our society.
Today, as we honor the blue banner with the golden tamğa – this proud flag that unites the entire Crimean Tatar people – we affirm that Ukraine is fighting for itself and all its lands, defending justice for itself and all its people – for everyone who calls Ukraine and our Crimea their home. We must stop Russian aggression. We must bring freedom back to all those who are currently in Russian captivity. We must guarantee security and a reliable peace for the entirety of our state and all our people.

You're not listening and you are ignoring your own crimes. You also know absolutely NOTHING about Bandera or his followers if you think that they are Nazis. You should educate yourself and learn some other languages. Then you'll be able to read sources of information which are not as skewed and hypocritical as your Polish sources. Then you'll see that Bandera spent the war years in a Nazi concentration camp and his two brothers were murdered in Auschwitz. Open your eyes to your own crimes, before criticizing others. And by the way, I know a lot about real Nazis. My father's brother was murdered in Auschwitz by German Nazis and the rest of my family, along with the entire village, was murdered by your Polish Nazis from Armia Krajowa, who are celebrated in Poland as heroes. So, open your eyes to your own Nazis and war criminals.

I have read your other posts and they prove that you are anti-Ukrainian. So, you are continuing to lie. Learn about your own Polish history because Poland has committed many, many crimes against its neighbours, and especially Ukrainians. There is a very good reason why the entire Ukrainian nation rose up and backed Khmelnytsky to liberate Ukraine from Poland. If Poland had treated the Ukrainians as equals and with dignity and respect, the Khmelnytsky Revolution never would have happened. But because the Polish occupation was brutal and horrible, Ukrainians rose up. Poland was weakened, Ukrainians sided with Russia, and just over 100 years later, Poland was destroyed. Are you trying to repeat this history? It looks like Poles don't want to open their eyes and see their own brutal crimes which means that they are doomed to repeat their mistakes.

It is time to call out Karol Nawrocki for exactly what he is: a useful idiot whose actions systematically benefit Russia and other enemies of Europe.
Stripping Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle is a major symbolic blow to relations between Poland and Ukraine. Nawrocki claims that only trusted individuals should hold Poland's highest honor, but his implementation of this rule is a complete joke.
If this was a matter of actual conviction, Gerhard Schröder would have lost his honor for his ties to Moscow. He is a real enemy of Poland. Instead, Schröder gets a pass while working against the security of Europe.
Nawrocki also ignores the historical enemies of the state. He has not touched the honors of Russian imperial marshal Ivan Paskevich. Catherine the Great and Tsar Nicholas I remain completely safe from his review.
This proves his goal is simply to single out Ukraine. Dividing Europe over historical grievances while the country faces an existential invasion is exactly what Putin wants.
Nawrocki's campaign already signaled this direction when he brought the famous Romanian Russian asset George Simion on stage. He followed that up by endorsing Viktor Orbán, a literal Kremlin Trojan horse, in the Hungarian elections.
Nawrocki and the PiS establishment have shown that their domestic culture war takes priority over genuine strategic threats. He will always favor Russian proxies over anti-Russian liberals if it helps his political branding. He is an idiot who is deeply useful to Moscow, and his presidency is actively weakening the continent.
The Polish electorate made a pathetic and historical error by electing him
As a Ukrainian, I can say that what you are saying is a complete lie. Ukrainians are very grateful to Poland and the Polish people for their help and friendship, but you are not going dictate our history to us. Poles need to quit their imperialist mindset. You don't like UPA, well I don't like Armija Krajowa who murdered my entire family and everyone in our village named Dobra, which is 5 km east of Sieniawa. But I'm not going to tell you that you shouldn't put up monuments to the war criminals in Armija Krajowa. You have your heros, we have ours. But right right now, we are defending not only Ukraine but also all of Europe and in the first place Poland. If we fail, Poland will meet a Russian army which will be far more powerful, because it will include Ukrainians. And then Poland will be finished within days. Think about that the next time you spread anti-Ukrainian lies.
Just sent out my free weekend update. The big story this week were the Russian attacks on a cathedral and a Ukrainian attack on a refinery. Actually it was not the targets that were the big difference, it was the change in capabilities.
God morgon!
Last night, our long-range sanctions targeted the occupiers’ military logistics, oil industry, and air defense. All of this is a just response to Russia’s brutal attacks against our people. I thank the warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Special Operations Forces for their successful work at a distance of about 300 kilometers from the frontline.
Facilities on both sides of the Crimean Bridge were hit: maritime logistics used to transport oil in the Krasnodar region and an oil depot in temporarily occupied Kerch. In addition, military logistics facilities were successfully struck, along with four radar stations belonging to S-400 systems and two Pantsir systems.
I am grateful to all our warriors for their precision and professionalism. Russia understands only strength, and our long-range strength is certainly working for peace. Glory to Ukraine!
Dramatic events are unfolding in the Russian-occupied peninsula of Crimea, Ukraine.
Local Russian regime authorities announced that all fuel deliveries to civilians are suspended. The remaining fuel resources are distributed to government (military) forces and emergency only.
😎 Magyar: Crimea will put Moscow down, this is a psychological breaking point. All dictatorships collapse suddenly.
Moscow and the bunker grandfather will hold on to Crimea to the last, as the main trophy of war, even in the "island" mode.
Ukrainians in the occupied territory, please forgive me for the constant anxiety, closed bridges/roads, darkness, silence and stress. Stay away from military facilities and everything flammable, share bark and just be careful.
There is no other way to demilitarize the worm and smoke 1 million squatters out of the peninsula.
Today, Moscow's Crimea is a suitcase without a handle.
Regarding Belarus.
When the full-scale war began, we were hit by missiles that killed children and adults. And Alexander Lukashenko knows this. A large number of missiles were launched from Belarus. Back then, he called, apologized, and said it was out of his control. I don’t believe that, but that’s what he’s already said. Now, Russia will keep pushing him further into this war. Now, he understands that Ukraine will respond.
There’s no need for extra words. There are retransmitters on his communication towers. On his territory, along the two regions bordering Ukraine, there is equipment that adjusts fire on our people. He should remove that equipment. I think a week is enough for him to do that. Because right now, every day, our civilians are being killed, and children are being wounded as a result of this. If he doesn’t do it, we will.
The same goes for his oil-refining sector, for example. We are doing everything so that the Russians don’t have the ability to sell oil and supply diesel and fuel to their army. Today, Belarus is one of the key suppliers for the Russian army. Can this be stopped? I’m sure it’s within his power. And he is the one who controls it.
As for the drone strike on a bus with Belarusian children, everyone has already acknowledged it – international experts and, it seems, even the Russians are admitting it wasn’t our strike. The Russians will resort to all sorts of provocations to drag the Belarusian people into this war. This is one of them.
