🗣 "One time when I was at PSG, after training, 11 of us went to a fancy restaurant near the Arc de Triomphe. At some point, Lavezzi said, ‘I’m going to call Ancelotti to join us.’ We panicked and said, ‘Pocho, don’t! You can’t call the coach. Are you crazy? You’ll get us in trouble.’
But Lavezzi, being stubborn, called Carlo and straight-up asked, ‘Where are you?’ Then he tried to convince him to come to the restaurant.
When he hung up, we were sure he wouldn’t show up. But 15 minutes later, there he was at the restaurant. He sat down, had a drink with us, and started telling us amazing stories about his time at AC Milan.
After a while, he stood up and said, ‘That’s it for me. I have to go home now. You can stay and do what you want, but on Sunday, I expect you to play a great match.’ Then he left.
We all looked at each other and said, ‘How can we not play our hearts out for this guy? How much do we need to win by on Sunday? 5-0 at least?’ That Sunday, we dominated and had an amazing game."
An incredible story from Thiago Motta about his PSG days with the legendary Carlo Ancelotti.
Harrison Ford slams Donald Trump for attacks on climate change: "I don’t know of a greater criminal in history."
“[Trump] doesn’t have any policies, he has whims. It scares the sh*t out of me. The ignorance, the hubris, the lies, the perfidy. [Trump] knows better, but he’s an instrument of the status quo and he’s making money, hand over fist, while the world goes to hell in a hand basket. It’s unbelievable. I don’t know of a greater criminal in history," Ford told The Guardian. “He’s losing ground because everything he says is a lie. I’m confident we can mitigate against [climate change], that we can buy time to change behaviors, to create new technologies, to concentrate more fully on implementation of those policies. But we have to develop the political will and intellectual sophistication to realize that we human beings are capable of change. We are incredibly adaptive, we are incredibly inventive. If we concentrate on a problem we can fix it most times.”
