This is my favorite conspiracy theory of all time

[Redondo @EllCazadorFB]

@mikewichter The difference between this and Ted Lasso was having an incredible story and cast around Ted Lasso.

If the Yankees eliminate the Red Sox back to back years does that erase 2004?

Was legit thinking this the other day….

I hate to say it folks but I think sports as a whole may have peaked. Everything about sports just feels so forced and unnecessary, a desperate attempt for a private equity firm to squeeze more juice from the lemon. You have college football who is going to expand to a 24 team playoff, getting rid of the most unique thing about college football; its regular season. But these people aren’t college football people, they are tv executives and investors. They could care less about the sustainability of the sports and the tradition of it, they only care about turning a profit.

The MLB playoff have begun and if you are between the ages of 22 and 65, you probably haven’t seen much of them because they are all on during the day. A MLB playoff game started at 2 PM Eastern on a Tuesday. This is 11 AM Pacific. Why? Because NBC has to be the only network that can air the Wild Card round, so they need triple headers to be able to get all of the games in. Atlanta and Philly are heading into a game 3 and didn’t even know what time they were playing til about midnight last night because of conflicts with other games and network availability. Corporate greed has completely botched the MLB playoffs so far in order to keep all the games on NBC.

It feels as if sports have peaked across the board. We’ve gotten to a point where it’s impossible for fans to care more than they have before, spend more than they have before, or watch more than they have before. Every consumer situation has an infliction point, where the capacity of the consumer is maxed out. The product has to back off in order to not burn out the customer and keep them engaged enough to have them invested long term while they back off and recharge short term.

I believe that is where America is with sports now. It currently demands too much of us on a daily basis and has ruined the reasons that we have fallen in love with it. Maybe we all just need a break…

@blong0108 Jeez…. I was just thinking this the other day.

@SM64132 “Johnny, I have so much teddy bear paper work to do right now its ridiculous”

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@NaitoZ_ When I reached Master in SF6 the game when from mechanics to mechanics and ball knowledge. I just haven’t put in the time to gain that knowledge and until then, I’ll never be above 1500-1600LP. And that’s no one’s fault but my own. Not cheaters not busted champs, it’s on me.

For the night in Jackson, Mississippi. Now doing a little night walk to find something to eat.

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@Brett_Pats For me, 80% of the teams are garbage. The Celtics are not one of those teams.

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@mikewichter If there’s one player that’s benefited from the NY enhancement it’s him

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@EdHand89 For me, I don’t think Breslow knows how to negotiate in the trenches. Loses out on free agents and overpays for guys like Mead and Adley.

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@mikewichter With the exception of a few, the lineup is a bunch of 6-9 hitters

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@mikewichter They were getting injured and paid a lot for an injured hitter and the other overachieving Mead… got hurt his first game

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

I don’t think the Red Sox peaked, they just slowly got hurt one by one till no one was effective anymore. Gave up a lot for Miller and Mead….

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

Yankees are the better team, and probably will come out of the American League

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@bearyfluffi “I saw a porn”

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@CrackNightwing7 @SwagPogGamer I love the Ted Series and even I was going in with low expectations, but they really hit a home run with it.

[Andrew S Fiori @Andrewkendo]

@normal_jake_ I really try to be objective with these things….. and I just can’t think of a better state. When MA is on point, there’s no reason to leave
