‘Inadequate measures’: Green Party MP Ellie Chowns pressed Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper why she did nothing to prevent an Israeli property event from taking place in London – one that included selling developments on illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Rights groups such as Amnesty International and Palestine Solidarity Campaign had warned the government about the event in the weeks leading up to it.
Chowns asked how the government failed to even prevent marketing of the expo, let alone stopping it altogether.

what does one even say? one of the books to which i feel most sympathetic. i adore schmidt’s narrators’ tendency toward eremitic anarchism, their devotion to art and nature. i wish i had better german but woods’s english rendition is superior to most recent english prose.
A giant inflatable World Cup soccer ball broke free, turning traffic into a game of Rocket League
Some drivers tried to avoid the ball, but a truck appeared to hit it

Happy Birthday Noddy Holder
Parliament should reverse the decision to proscribe Palestine Action urgently before we see large numbers of elderly people in particular being dragged before our courts. Classifying protest through direct action as terrorism brings Parliament & our judicial system into disrepute
Excellent summary of the mainstream Labour critique of the blank cheque the military political complex are demanding. As I told the BBC and Sky - a country has to be worth fighting for.
He is literally inciting racist pogroms on our streets using the communications platform he bought because he has too much money.
Musk is actively making black & brown people physically unsafe in their homes with his trillions. Ask them what difference it makes to their lives🙄
This is possibly the saddest thing I've seen in a long time..an immigrant nurse talking about fleeing her home..she saved her UNIFORM. So she could still WORK for our communities.
I'd fill this country with a thousand of this woman than one of those good for nothing thugs.
God help this poor woman.
EXCLUSIVE: More than half of former Labour voters who intent to back a centre or leftwing party in the next general election have cited the government's record on Gaza as a reason for abandoning Labour, new polling shows.
David Tennat, "Did you see Robert Kenyon's remarks on the BBC?"
Chloe Petts, "He had to say: I've not made sexual remarks about Carol Vordenman"
"Which I think is like if you put Bill Clinton's I did not have sexual relations with AI, and said, make it British"
Keir Starmer knew throughout the genocide that Israel was committing every possible war crime.
If he is ever tried for complicity, he will have to answer:
“Why did you ignore evidence of Israeli war crimes when your own Health Secretary submitted it?”
An audience member at a Q&A recently asked me why I'm so apocalyptic. The genocide in Gaza, beyond being a tragedy, marks an irreversible shift in the global world order. Before the genocide, the imperialist ambitions of the Western oligarchic class were partially constrained by the utopian ideal of the rules-based order. Now that ideal is gone, and unrestrained barbarity will characterize the methodology of the war-making ruling class. In other words — our future is an apocalyptic one.
It's not just the exploitation of a tragedy.
JD Vance's picture of Britain - where migrants have led to a crime surge - is the opposite of the truth.

I'm afraid that this is why the US administration wants to shut down ocean observations: they don't want the people to know what is happening in our oceans, as it does not fit their ideology and the interests of their fossil fuel industry funders.
