Back at last! I see twitter is still full of pretentious arses. won’t suffer fools & if you’re visiting my profile because I’ve had a go at you that’s you!
@jimrmet @mtwainet @DPJHodges Then the asker of the question is as at fault as he is answering it , the time to address this by everyone was before they were granted the World Cup and should have been a condition of award .
@jimrmet @mtwainet @DPJHodges Only if it’s the topic of a question and this was not question time , but also that’s almost a political statement , politician is asked on question time about the homeless and politics and he answers about football wouldn’t be allowed or tolerated.
@mattpickering11@DPJHodges And they will at the next election but nothing you or Neville says will bring that date a day closer, he’s on a sports show not a political show! People aren’t tuning in for his political view s
@DonnaDlm71@lang52099655 Also surely if you joined late , say 35 , 30 years service is reached at 65 and that would I believe be deemed ok. 🤔. I accept not many join so late. I’ve got a mate who is 51 she’s just joined the civil service .. lol I’m certain she won’t be working at 81 🤣🤣
@DonnaDlm71@lang52099655 I’ve heard that ‘argument’ however it applies to all civil servants, diplomats, tax man etc even as a desk jockey, work wise it can’t be compared to a miner or similar. I agree for frontline officers being 50 + is likely to be draining & 30 years is enough.
@DonnaDlm71 I remember my dad telling me he was retiring at 30 years service , I naively then queried why? a) the job has changed dramatically since I joined and b) would you work for 1/3 of your wages? Me.. No way.. him neither will I. Good Job he did sadly 4 years later he died..
@alfiemoore@Andlox 2/2 with a speed gun in his hands, I’m definitely done then said i. Never heard a thing. Following august I couldn’t find my V5 to tax so called the DVLA they asked me for the ref off the tear off new keeper then for my address, that’s not the address the dealership gave us…
@alfiemoore@fatwhitebloke Separate true story bought a car in august, xmas eve dashing to grimsby on the M180 was doing over 90 when I saw the reflective side of a police car on a raised platform slowed down saying to my missus shit it’s a police car, she said yep he was out of his car with 1/2
