A quick breakdown for everyone who was asleep, and for those who still don’t understand what actually happened with ShivoLink:

Here’s how it played out:

Elon’s partner Shivon gets hacked, and her bio is changed to say she’s working on ShivoLink.

The ShivoLink account then drops a CA for a tax token and makes two posts from the main account explaining how “promising” the technology supposedly is.

Then, apparently, we get an absolutely insane coincidence: the world’s first trillionaire just happens to see a post from the mother of four of his children about this new project and leaves a casual 💯 under it.

After that, or maybe at the same time, Doge Designer follows the project account, which makes the whole situation even more confusing.

Basically, every possible star aligned for the hackers.

Shivon’s account was compromised, Elon randomly commented on the post, quite possibly without even looking into what the project actually was, and people close to him — by that I mean people who are obviously much closer to Musk than any of us — started panic-following the “new Elon project,” probably thinking they had missed something after the boss had effectively acknowledged it.

Meanwhile, SocialFi platforms like Fomo became the catalyst.

Big influencers started aping in, including one of the biggest retail callers, Unipcs. FOMO kept building, the hype got bigger, volume went absolutely vertical.

And while all of this was happening, the token TAX was changed from the original 2/2 to 5/5, giving the hackers an extra 3% from all that volume.

Calculating the exact amount made by all the insider wallets would be a pain in the ass and I honestly can’t be bothered, but my guess is that between insider wallets and fees, the hackers walked away with somewhere around 2–3k ETH from this launch.

363.39 ETH of that came from fees alone.

Every time we reach peak memecoin bull market conditions, we get crimes like this that absolutely rinse retail.

And I can understand why people fell for it.

It’s genuinely hard to believe that literally every possible star could align this perfectly for the hackers, turning what looked like an obvious hack and LARP into something that, for a moment, looked almost legitimate.

Unfortunately, I think we topped.

I’ll genuinely be surprised if liquidity simply doesn’t give a fuck and runners keep spawning at a rate of ten a day after this.

As for me, I didn’t get hit too badly. It basically ended up being a round trip with my only real loss coming from fees.

I feel bad for the people who didn’t analyze what was happening, got consumed by FOMO, and aped in with size they simply couldn’t afford to lose.
