Delighted to wake-up to this fantastic story about the pioneering science behind @theBHF's CureHeart project. This really could lead to the first treatments and cures for devastating genetic heart diseases. Massive thank you to Ben, @theTimes and everyone who shared their stories
Over the last six months I’ve been speaking to the geneticists, chemists and cardiologists at the forefront of an audacious attempt to cure inherited heart disease. My long read is published in the Sunday Times Magazine today and online @thetimes

Tonight, @afcbournemouth will host @LutonTown for the game that was rescheduled following their captain, Tom Lockyer’s cardiac arrest.
Every 90 minutes – the length of a football match – at least five people in the UK suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Massive thanks to Tom Lockyer and @LutonTown. Telling your story is inspiring record numbers of people to search @TheBHF’s CPR training. Your support will save lives! https://t.co/1PSzCi9H74

Such heroic actions from all involved. Thanks Tom and @LutonTown for pointing fans to @TheBHF, where you can learn #CPR for free in just 15 min. Less than 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, so every second counts: https://t.co/2JZfAHb2HW
This September, @the_bhf Spotlight campaign is shining a spotlight on hidden heart diseases.
I joined over 200 supporters at @cpfc’s football stadium, where 180 seats were left empty - representing the 180 lives that are lost to coronary heart disease each day in the UK (one every eight minutes).
The @the_bhf funds ground-breaking research, preventing more families living with that gaping hole left by the loss of a loved one.

Families across the UK are finding out about loved ones' hidden heart conditions far too late. Together with @SClub7, @TheBHF is raising funds for research breakthroughs to help save and improve millions of lives and prevent people losing loved ones too soon #showyourhearts 🧡❤️

Happy #WorldBookDay everyone. And spare a thought for the thousands of parents madly trying to get their kids into a bizarre costume ready for school or nursery. We’ve got a 2-year-old gruffalo and 5-year-old red riding hood in the making! Good luck!
