Travaglio si è appena guadagnato una nuova segnalazione all’Ordine dei Giornalisti del Piemonte, per via dell’editoriale di oggi che in termini di deliri, brucia letteralmente ogni precedente record.

Oggi dal prontuario della propaganda russa il Direttore del fatto ha addirittura ripescato la maxi-balla dei biolab ucraini finanziati dagli USA, una mistificazione colossale che ha imbarazzato l’intelligence statunitense, dopo che l’ex capa del DNI Tulsi Gabbard aveva “desecretato materiale classificato” e divertito i grandi capi della propaganda russa dai quali gran parte di quelle idiozie era stata in realtà copiata e incollata.

Il punto è che questa teoria è stata ampiamente debunkata e nelle slide della Gabbard, già nota da oltre un decennio per la sua puntuale opera di disinformazione in favore di Mosca, sono emersi errori grossolani e vere proprie manipolazioni di qualità così infima da aver fatto ridere ogni essere dotato di pollice opponibile, mandando però in visibilio terrapiattisti, complottisti, schiechimichisti, cioè, appunto, i lettori del Fatto.

Per @marcotravaglio non sembra però essere un problema il fatto che i “biolab”, che sono così segreti da essere stati finanziati con un programma pubblico dal 2005 e spesso inaugurati con cerimonie ufficiali, siano in realtà centri di ricerca epidemiologica, laboratori di analisi e universitari. Così come non sembra voler sottilizzare sul fatto che nella mappa dell’Ucraina diffusa dal DNI, Kyiv sia lontanissima dalla sua posizione reale, dei laboratori vengano collocati in una località chiamata Cherniv, che nemmeno esiste, ed altri ancora vengano segnalati in Crimea e a Kherson, la prima, sotto il controllo russo dal 2014, e la seconda occupata per mesi da soldati che hanno portato via dalle case persino i servizi di posate ma non hanno scovato questi pericolosissimi luoghi dove si progettano pandemie. Non sembra aver fatto caso neanche al dettaglio che i micidiali laboratori scovati dalla Gabbard sono tutti di livello BSL-2 o 3 mentre per manipolare virus letali sono necessari centri che abbiano un livello di Biosafety 4 che in Ucraina semplicemente non esistono. Si preoccupa però di elencare i ceppi conservati dai “fascionazionalisti” che secondo Travaglio tengono in mano Zelensky (il cui governo è definito, come sempre, “regime”), dimenticando che sono presenti nei laboratori di mezzo mondo e che ad esempio lo Spallanzani (dove invece c’è un laboratorio BSL-4) ne ha molti di più.

Silenzio anche sul fatto che mezzo report, spacciato come “di intelligence” è semplicemente copiato e incollato da un delirante documento presentato all’ONU dalla Russia nel 2022, nel quale si favoleggia, tra le altre cose, anche di zanzare killer, geneticamente modificate per ammazzare solo soldati russi.

Quello che fa (amaramente) sorridere è che il pezzo si apre con la celebre scena di Colin Powell che agita vergognosamente una fiala con le finte prove delle armi di distruzione di massa di Saddam e la denuncia della guerra in Iraq che ne è seguita, facendo 600.000 morti. Che quelle stesse cazzate siano oggi tra le ragioni del più grande conflitto degli ultimi 80 anni, scatenata però da Mosca, per Travaglio è invece quasi comprensibile ed anzi male fa l’Europa a non porsi il problema (testualmente: «Sulle false armi di distruzione di massa di Saddam abbiamo fatto una guerra, su quelle vere di Zelensky&C. tutti tacciono.»).

Ecco, io direi che se non vogliamo che l’informazione diventi definitivamente un circo, forse è ora che gli ordini regionali si diano una svegliata.

INSIGHT: The great fear was that AI would replace us.

In 2026 the opposite is quietly unfolding.

A third of the companies that fired people to install AI have already hired them back, and when the researchers ran the math, the layoffs turned out to have saved almost nothing. Yup!

Let’s start with the hardest fact.

Gartner surveyed 350 large companies, 80 percent of which had cut jobs for AI, and found no meaningful link between those cuts and better returns.

The idea the whole wave rested on, fewer people means lower cost means higher profit, simply was not in the data. Careerminds, polling 600 HR leaders who had run layoffs, found nearly a third said rehiring cost more than the layoffs ever saved.

Forrester reports 55 percent of employers now regret the decision, and more of them expect AI to grow their headcount next year than to shrink it, 57 percent against 15.

A year ago top executives went on live television to announce the people they had replaced. This year they are quietly reposting the jobs. 🙊

You can see why. Klarna swapped 700 support agents for an Ai chatbot, watched satisfaction slide mainly because the Ai chatbots lack the human personality / emotions and that touch, and its chief executive admitted their company had gone too far.

Tech giant IBM automated their HR desk, which handled the easy 94 percent of requests and stalled on the 6 percent that needed judgment, and is now tripling entry-level hiring.

American giant Ford brought back more than 350 veteran gray beard highly skilled engineers to catch defects its automated systems had missed.

These are all facts. Check for yourself.

One thing is worth getting right, because it is where most takes fall apart. This is not AI failing, and it is not machines needing us.

The economy is still adding jobs, and the roles that build and steer AI are in heavy demand.

What broke was one crude assumption, that a model which can finish a task can therefore hold a job. It cannot.

The judgment, the escalation, the human trust, the memory of ten thousand past cases that experience, that human touch, personality and emotions, that was the job, and it was exactly what got deleted when the people walked out replaced by Ai.

So the machines are not taking the work.

They are sorting it into two piles, the tasks a model can finish and the judgment a person was always there to hold. The companies that bet everything on the first pile are paying, twice, to rebuild the second. It turned out to be far larger than they admitted.

Un Comunista organico ed ex sindacalista, mi dissero, per cercare di far nascere un pregiudizio.
Come sempre non diedi peso alle parole di altri e cercai di conoscerlo attraverso i fatti, le sue azioni, i risultati.
Ma non è questo il tema.
Mauro Moretti fu incriminato, con altre persone, per il drammatico disastro ferroviario di Viareggio del 29 giugno 2009 nel quale persero la vita 32 persone.
Ma Moretti, vale la pena di ricordare, fu assolto dai 5 profili di colpa iniziali, tra i quali c’erano il picchetto e la velocita.
Nel corso del processo si decise quindi di trovarne un sesto: nel suo ruolo di Amministratore Delegato di un’azienda con circa 100.000 dipendenti, avrebbe dovuto trovare un qualcosa in più, che non era previsto da alcuna norma, italiana o europea, per tracciare la vita manutentiva del carro che causò l’incidente.
Stiamo parlando di un carro che non era di Ferrovie ma di un operatore austrotedesco, manutenuto in Germania da un’officina certificata dalle locali autorità di sicurezza.
Un carro con tutti i documenti formalmente in regola secondo le norme europee recepite in Italia.
A Moretti è stato riconosciuto di aver rispettato tutte le leggi e norme scritte, ma secondo il tribunale avrebbe dovuto fare qualcosa di più, che non c’ era e che nessuna normativa prevedeva, per evitare qualunque possibile problema. All’occorrenza anche in deroga alle leggi di riferimento.
Il fatto che lui non abbia fatto di più di quanto la legge prevedeva, secondo l’accusa, gli ha procurato una “responsabilità generica”.
Mi dicono esperti giuristi che in Italia la resposabilità oggettiva non esiste come reato, anche se questa imputazione che fa capo al principio del “neminen laedere”, gli somiglia davvero tanto.
Ma non era sufficiente aver inventato una reato ed un modo per condannare una persona per rispondere alle richieste popolari e quindi, pur essendo incensurato e pur trattandosi di un reato colposo (cioè di cui non ha alcuna responsabilità diretta), non gli hanno riconosciuto le attenuanti generiche nella misura ordinaria di 1/3. Cosa che invece avviene quasi sempre in situazioni anche penalmente più gravi in caso di reati dolosi.
Andava punito.
Perché serviva un colpevole simbolico.
Io so che questo mio post non piacerà, so che molti si chiederanno “ma perché deve esporsi anche su persone e fatti su cui potrebbe tacere”, so che la maggioranza delle persone è contenta perché un ex potente é stato condannato, perché guadagnava tanto e quindi lo merita, perché le persone morte dovevano essere vendicate e ricevere giustizia ad ogni costo ma mi chiedo: questa è giustizia?
Sulla base di una tesi così, chi può avere responsabilità?
Si è fatta male una persona nel mio bar, a casa mia, nel cortile della mia azienda,
ho rispettato ogni legge, ogni obbligo e prescrizione ma dovevo fare di più. Quindi sono colpevole.
Non mi pare un principio di giustizia.
Anche perché se questa è la giurisprudenza italiana nessuno che abbia una minima responsabilità può sentirsi al sicuro. Perché non serve rispettare tutte le leggi e le regole se hanno deciso che devi pagare.

JUST IN: For forty years, memory chips were the worst business in technology. A brutal commodity, made of sand, sold by the ton, with profit margins that collapsed to nothing every few years. Last night that business reported the kind of margins only software companies dream of. AI just broke a cycle that defined an entire industry for four decades.

The numbers do not look real. Micron's revenue quadrupled in a single year, to 41 billion dollars. Net income went from 1.9 billion to 28 billion. And the number that should stop every investor cold: gross margin hit 85%. One year ago it was 39%. Memory chips, the most commoditized product in tech, now earn the fat margins of a software company, on a physical thing you can hold in your hand.

Understand what that means, because it breaks a 40-year rule. Memory was the definition of a cyclical business. Prices boomed, everyone built factories, supply flooded, prices crashed, margins went negative. Every few years, like clockwork. That clock just stopped. The CEO said shortages now run until 2028, and the company has locked half its future revenue in binding multi-year contracts. A commodity does not get contracts. A chokepoint does.

This is the whole year in one earnings report. AI did not just create winners in software and chips. It reached down into the most disrespected business in technology, the one nobody wanted, and turned it into the most profitable hardware on earth, because the machines cannot run without it and there is not enough to go around.

The worst business in tech just became one of the best. Not because memory changed. Because AI changed what memory is worth.

The cycle did not turn. It broke.

Avere cacciato un leader eletto da milioni di persone, sobrio e preparato, per vedersi imporre questo narciso, privo di mandato, deciso da poche decine di persone, più che lasciare l’amaro in bocca fa disperare per il Regno Unito in senso lato.

L’ultima volta che ho provato questo tipo di disperazione è stato quando per fare il Primo Ministro i tories scelsero la scema del villaggio che poi durò come una lattuga. Naturalmente dopo avere fatto un danno al paese che pagheranno intere generazioni, e dopo avere distrutto il suo partito.

C’è un senso di Déjà vu.

E speriamo che mi sbagli.
