HyperLiquid’s Decentralized Rugpull 😱😱😱

Here’s what went down:
🔘 HyperLiquid messed up – a trader found a critical exploit, opening a $400M short on $JELLYJELLY (40% of supply).
🔘 At the same time, they went long on a massive position, playing both sides.
🔘 Due to high leverage, the short got instantly liquidated.
🔘 HyperLiquid was forced to buy back 40% of tokens from the market, triggering a price pump – perfect for the trader’s long position.
🔘 Per @zachxbt , all wallets involved got funds from Binance, suggesting a coordinated attack. Some were also linked to OKX.
🔘 To stop the pump, HyperLiquid opened its own short on $JELLYJELLY.
🔘 But then:
— The community started pumping the token to wreck HyperLiquid.
— HyperLiquid’s losses came from users' funds (HLP).
— Users rushed to withdraw, worsening the situation.
🔘 Meanwhile, Binance & OKX listed $JELLYJELLY futures, cranking up volatility.
🔘 HyperLiquid delisted $JELLYJELLY and force-settled all positions at $0.0095.
🔘 They walked away with $700K profit, called it an exploit, and framed their actions as "protecting users."
