@RhysCarefree Like not to get nitpicky about the amount the atmosphere is boosted by the theatrics but these are not the stadiums or atmospheres the tweet is referring to. The stadiums being used for the world cup are very much not great soccer stadiums.
@JoshChavis65 Actually it's the more modern stadiums they are talking about. And in fact Arrowhead shares the design features they want in a soccer stadium. Steep enclosed bowls , fans close to field no corporate boxes on field allowing for true fan atmosphere.
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull Also check out why arrowhead is so loud. Enclosed steep bowls that traps sound. Things that soccer stadiums do better!
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull They get great football atmospheres can get incredibly loud! They are great football stadiums. Soccer is a different sport
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull And all of them have that first bowl not steep! Or the boxes on the ground in the end zones with just wasted space where walls of fans should be and the fact that those things have seeped into Soccer stafium designs in Europe also has come with critique!
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull Like we can just admit they aren't ideal soccer stadiums or why build SSS's at all! (I know it's more than this) But SSS's exist for a reason!
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull You can use temp seating. FIFA can not be greedy this is all part of the critique. That we have to play in less then ideal non soccer stadiums.
@t_c_p_33@SingleDad68@cowlonfull Soccer is about continual noise as atmosphere. Yes these NFL stadiums feel loud at specific moments like any big stadium but the constant hum and chant of the crowd in a soccer stadium is a different thing and the the architecture of soccer stadiums adds to that
