To anyone else who was amazed here is a tiny clip of 80 year old Enid Bakewell bossing the crease! Alas I don’t have her cheeky edge to 3rd man
I can confirm I was at the other end, playing with much less fluidity
📷 creds to @cricketvairagya (ps sound on for a good WAIT)
Brexit bonus! UK waterways to be filthy for three decades - wouldn’t have been allowed by EU, made poss by Brexit. In 36 years, many rivers may be beyond repair. News sneaked out just before Xmas. Great story by my colleague @sandralaville https://t.co/5HowMN8QoP
Many cultures have their own traditions of nature therapy and self-care.
For the Japanese, it’s shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). For the Dutch, it’s uitwaaien (out-blowing); a kind of wind bath.
In both cases, access for everyone is considered, not just those with access to cars.
To cut through all the whataboutery, how about this as a base criteria? There shouldn’t be a World Cup anywhere that wouldn’t hold a Womens World Cup.
I don't think I've ever seen a more powerful road safety message than this one by @TACVictoria in Australia. THANK-YOU SO MUCH from the other side of the world.
Shame on @ScottBentonMP @PaulMaynardUK and
@fyldeca Fylde MP Mark Menzies all voting against a ban on fracking.
Two elected to represent Blackpool, the other Fylde.
But these cowards are not representing us. We say NO TO FRACKING!
