Every Dyno has a story.
And sometimes that story truly begins after someone gave up on crypto forever.
When I sat down with tbh123 to ask him about his recent Dyno acquisition, I heard instead, a story about failure, success, and at the heart of it all, community that helped to rebuilt trust.
It all started with a painful first experience with crypto.
“1k down the drain to Safemoon. I thought it was going sky high. Went to bed, woke up with $120 bucks.”
For many people, that would have been enough to leave it all behind.
Then came another setback.
“I tried dabbling in XToken after that. Then they got hacked. I took that as a sign that I needed to walk away. I never planned on coming back.”
Done with crypto.
Or so he thought.
⸻
Finding Craft World
He simply downloaded Craft World in the AppStore because it looked like a fun mobile game.
“On the store it wasn’t advertised as a crypto game… The first 30-ish levels I played as a web2 game.”
Only later did he begin wondering how the blockchain pieces actually worked.
“I remember thinking to myself… ‘I wonder how that worked? Masterpieces?’”
Curiosity took over.
Like many players…
He had absolutely no idea what he had just happened upon.
The incentive to get 50 RawrCrystals in-game by joining the discord may have changed everything.
The Difference Was the Community
Joining Discord didn’t instantly make him an active member.
Like most newcomers…
He lurked.
“I didn’t know any of these people.”
But something felt different.
“You could feel the connections between everyone. The true feeling of wanting to help. It was weird, but in a warming way.”
One simple question changed everything.
He asked how to unlock ceramics.
“That one interaction opened the door to crypto again. But with guidance and advice from people who truly cared.”
Instead of hype…
He found mentors.
Instead of pressure…
He found people willing to help.
The longer he stayed, the more he wanted to give back.
“I started building relations with the community. Started to gain the ability to help like how I was helped in the beginning.”
Those experiences changed how he viewed the entire ecosystem.
Crypto had gone from something that takes money from people…
…to something built around people.
Eventually another community member asked him a simple question.
“Have you heard about the MATT token?”
He decided to support.
Not because he expected life-changing gains.
Because he believed in the people behind it.
“Gotta support my guy, you know? None of us knew where this was gonna go. I treated it as a new learning opportunity about the early days of a token.”
Then something happened
“It grew.”
Along the way to turning the Matt into a Dyno
there were blackjack wins…
Lucky coin flips…
Early airdrops…
Good timing…
And careful decisions.
Those profits became something tangible.
Dyno #624.
“With that, I was able to skim enough off the top of my bag to buy #624.”
In total, he purchased the Dyno for approx 82 million MATT.
Perhaps the most striking part of his story wasn’t the financial outcome.
It was what acquiring that Dyno came to represent.
After beginning with a devastating loss…
Walking away from crypto…
Finding Craft World by accident…
Meeting the Dyno community that genuinely wanted to help…
As he reflected on how far things had come, he said:
“What started out as a shot into the dark has now put me in a position to one day, quite possibly, put a bid on one of the 1/1 Dynos.”
And then the line that perfectly sums up his story:
“I couldn’t have done it without ADL, and the man himself, Matt.”
Not every crypto story begins with success.
Some begin with loss.
Some begin with distrust.
And sometimes the thing that brings someone back isn’t a token…
It’s the people holding it.
That may be the most valuable thing tbh123 found on his journey—not just MATT, or Dyno #624, but a community worth believing in.
