@RoryStewartUK While we are at it could we perhaps consider a "fundamental rethink of the composition of..." the Commons also. Would it be so radical to suggest that MP's and Ministers need to have lived & worked in the real world B4 standing for election? And also be competent. Just an idea.
@GrisdaleJohn@RupertLowe10@ZackPolanski You are correct. About 80%. But in what sane developed world planet is that acceptable. So 20% (millions) of animals suffer unimaginable torture in the name of made up fairy tales. Would you answer similarly about any other crime? Of course not. Logic like this is a mind virus
@brightonargus This sort of thing isn't taken seriously enough. It is 2026 FFS...anyone doing this needs to be in prison. And likewise can we please ban "religiously slaughtered meat". AKA unimaginable animal cruelty. Wake up Brighton/UK. Zero tolerance for animal cruelty.
@RoryStewartUK Or back in the real world let's just agree that Canada, EU & UK have elected a series of leaders that have contrived to make them completely irrelevant
@LeoKearse@piersmorgan is a total clown. Sadly his sustained influence and relevance is a symptom of a greater malaise in the UK and Western civilization. But it's ok...we are on a trajectory of exposing institutionalised corruption and failure. The tide has turned...It's a matter of time
@IsabelOakeshott@lukerobertblack@danwootton It's over for Reform. Can't work out if it's just "true colours" emerging or something more malign happening but they've lost the room. The people don't want a refurbished Tory party. A Lab/Lib/Green coalition looks inevitable. Anyone with their econo head screwed on will leave
@markhendy@RachelReevesMP You miss a rather obvious point...cutting interest rates (absent some sort of crisis) is symptomatic of a slowing/recessionary economy...Nothing to celebrate. You also infer that rates are "high" at 3.75% which is absurd. Interest rates are low by long term historic standards
@spectator Just checking does that say Peter Mandelson? It looks like it does. Surely not the same Peter Mandelson who was best mates with that notorious paedophile? Cos that would sort of discredit any opinion he had & make him somewhat unemployable no?
