Joe Milton III and Sam Howell split reps with the second-team unit today as they duke it out for the QB2 job.
Milton: "In the league, you gotta compete every day. No matter where I end up or where he ends up, you gotta compete. Nothing is just given to you."
Howell: "To me, it doesn't matter if I'm competing with another guy. I'm always competing with myself. I'm competing to be the best version of myself and just get better."
DeMarvion Overshown was back at practice today after getting married over the weekend. Played WILL with the first-team unit and rotated in at MIKE with the second-team unit. He's looked comfortable with multiple things on his plate.
First-round rookie S Caleb Downs observed the #DallasCowboys special teams period at OTAs. He rotated in to catch a couple punts in the returner role. Downs also got some reps as the personal protector during some of Bryan Anger’s punts.
