@VictorWanyama Ah young man - what a wonderful career. May God continue to bless you as you follow him. If you’re ever in Melbourne do come and say hello. Rev.
Looking forward to our wedding anniversary celebrations with @billybragg at The Halifax Piece Hall this evening…admitting our parents were probably right!
Assuming that @Nigel_Farage and all his security paid for their tickets today @HomeOfCricket - disappointing to see someone who so disturbs life in Bradford so feted by members and friends. At least his team who I spoke to were less assured of his goodness.
We're delighted to have won the Leisure Venue of the Year at the #RLHA24, and congratulations to The Underground and Nightrain, who were also on our shortlist, which are also amazing venues.
📣💚We are Shaftesbury - Celebrating 180 years of heritage 💚📣
Shaftesbury is the new name for disability charity Livability, in honour of our renowned Victorian founder, the seventh Earl of Shaftesbury. We’re excited about how our new name can give impetus to the charity’s mission: to make more lives add up, for people with disabilities.
Working on growth drew our attention more closely to Livability’s valuable heritage. In our 180th year, the history and stories of one of our founding organisations – The Shaftesbury Society – revealed a huge potential, always motivated by doing better for the people we support.
As Shaftesbury, telling the stories of our work over the centuries, in relation to disability and disadvantage, will power our future.
