Never in my life have i seen refs throw a flag for PI...discuss it, then announce the penalty...then change their minds a couple minutes later and decide no penalty. Minnesota's coach cried like a tiny bitch. Msu football.
Can someone explain to me what’s going on in college hockey? How can you play in the cheese toast hockey league but then go back to school. Genuinely asking
so many guys don’t get the respect they’re due in the league. Guys like Gonchar. Guys like Zubov. Guys like Kassian Guys like Schlemko. Just tooth and nail guys living out a dream the hard way. Whatever it takes. That’s what made me love hockey. I’m not built like that. But that’s what made me love it. The pride, the dignity. Type of guys that were literally laying it all on the line with no safety net or no plan B. I remember watching the Colorado/Detroit rivalry and thinking to myself, I don’t know how they do that but I like it and I respect it. I was wearing matching pajamas sitting on the floor in the living room watching guys put every ounce and fiber of their strength into the sport, not just for them, but for the guys that wearing the same sweater as them. That’s really what it’s all about. The selflessness of the sacrifice. It was actually insane. There will never be another time like that for the rest of our lives, where guys truly played with their health on the line like it didn’t matter even though it does, all that mattered was winning. I love that. It’s so fucking sick dude. That’s what draws me to this sport. I’m so high right now. But that’s what really lured me in as a kid and still what makes me hoist such respect for these guys. All in it together. The warrior mentality. Never say die. The present is most important, act like it. That’s how the guys in the 90s and 2000s acted (and before that). It was a different type of pride. A different kind of mindset. I miss that
3 students LOST THEIR LIVES last night and @nytmay thinks it’s ok to write this. The tone of the article is “students were terrorized last night but don’t forget they had a doctor that sexually abused people so not the worst thing to happen.” People are sick in the head.
This is Rachel Leahy: joined Army West Point Athletic Training Staff in 2019–works with men’s ice hockey program. She saved a life last night. Eric (below) just told me: “Can’t say enough good things about our AT Rachel..she truly saved my life last night.” #cawlidgehawkey
Last night Eric Huss suffered an injury from an inadvertent skate to his neck. He was transported after a pivotal response from our trainer, Rachel Leahy.
Eric underwent successful surgery to repair a severe laceration to his neck and will return to West Point today. Warrior.
Whenever the league talks about player safety we should all remember that the NFL tried to make the players warm up for five minutes and restart this game before the coaches stepped in
