@Elizabethyha Leeds..Settle to Carlisle is usually OK for the Dales. No bike reservations, but I've always got mine on. If not in bike space they can go under luggage racks and no complaints for anyone. Mind you- usually full of walkers/ outdoor types who aren't bothered about bikes.

@robtolley2 @AdamBronkhorst FFS a "road tax" post... Its VED for emissions. Roads are paid for out of general taxation. Most road and commute cyclists already have a car and are insured.

@AdamBronkhorst Cycle licencing is prohibitively costly to implement and impossible to police. Also zero help to road safety. Concentrate on the vehicles that cause all the pollution and the vast amount of deaths and injuries?
