@RailwayNorthern again cancelling Chester- Manchester Cinderella line services at very short notice - shortage of crew. Surely you know if you have crew at least a couple of hours beforehand if you have crew, generally anyway.Tonight’s 22.28 Northwich- Manchester service run?
We'll challenge ourselves on the back of what you've said but we'll campaign as well...until we've got a dementia service as good as cancer we won't have a 21st century dementia service @MayorofGM#LivingWellWithDementiaGM
One hour after asking @Keir_Starmer to say that schools are safe @BorisJohnson confirms that school won't reopen until March, and fails to set out a plan for how schools will be made safe to reopen then.
That isn't leadership it's playground politics.
PM confirms schools closed until March. But no plan to reopen safely or support families in the meantime. We need:
👩💻Flexible furlough for parents
💻Every child learning online
📉Cancel the cut to Universal Credit
💉Vaccinate key workers
🏫Plan for a safe return to classrooms
Do support this wonderful organisation if you can. It's so hard for so many charities just to keep the wheels turning during lockdown. This annual lunch would usually raise lots of money for crucial work & be packed to the rafters. https://t.co/zKOxLKKtGx @EventbriteUK
Tonight the UK's right wing Covid disinformation industry is in disarray. The tide is turning against their bullshit - in part because their fantasy world is being proactively challenged across civil society. 💥💥💥
Close schools. National lockdown. Universal Basic Income until the virus is in retreat. Massive subsidies and stakes to keep business afloat. National mobilisation to stop NHS being overwhelmed - sounds radical now. Won't by mid-Jan.
3/4 of us are in Tier 4 but Tier 4 doesn't work: how the Tories lost people's confidence and then lost control ... @NewStatesman https://t.co/56jtb3NU1M
@paulmasonnews The Tories own the mess 100%. How Labour votes on Wednesday not the big issue some wish to make it- too many "left" will opportunistically, as ever, try to elevate to a principle it's not 'cos they want to kick Starmer. Pathetic
A lovely, touching piece in today's Guardian @Freedland . You are one of those people, a 'wiser mind' lighting our way. Thank you, and may you continue to do so for many years to come
I am deeply troubled by the PM’s decision that “unintentional bullying” is permissible.I struggle to see why there has not been an outcry by principled and reasonable Conservative MPs and supporters of the Party. What kind of example of leadership is this for our young people?
This is awful. Absolutely awful. It also explains why Downing Street was desperately trying to flog the ‘foreign aid’ dead horse yesterday. Such blatant contempt for the British public was not confined to Cummings.
