#FDLR : Judith Suminwa affirme que Kigali n'a plus de « prétexte » pour maintenir ses troupes en #RDC

Devant l'Assemblée générale de l'ONU, Judith Suminwa a estimé que la question des FDLR, longtemps invoquée par Kigali pour justifier sa présence militaire en RDC, « ne saurait plus servir de prétexte ».

Elle a rappelé que le protocole signé le 30 mai 2026 par la direction politique et militaire du mouvement prévoit le désarmement, la démobilisation et le cantonnement de ses combattants en vue de leur rapatriement ou de leur relocalisation, jusqu'à la dissolution du groupe et sans préjudice des poursuites pour crimes graves.

Le rapatriement, le 8 septembre, de 120 personnes associées aux FDLR avec l'appui de la MONUSCO en constitue selon elle une « première traduction concrète ». La Première ministre a plaidé pour une mise en œuvre coordonnée des mécanismes de Washington, de Doha et de l'Union africaine, assortie d'un calendrier précis, d'une vérification indépendante et de sanctions en cas de violation.

Elle a enfin souligné le rôle « essentiel » de la MONUSCO, dont toute évolution devra dépendre des conditions sécuritaires afin qu'aucun vide ne soit laissé au détriment des populations.

It is rather heartbreaking to learn that despite efforts by many including the international community to avoid yet another round of war in Tigray, the TPLF leadership early in the morning today launched an all out offensive against government positions in Afar and Amhara. It has taken over federal controlled airports in Tigray leading to the suspension of flights to and from Tigray. The TPLF politico- military leadership has obviously taken irresponsibility to new heights.
