@Kyle_Cush@GenXCarlyT Can a player be re-signed (or signed by another non-expansion team) and not protected in the next phase? For example, could the Goldeneyes take the risk of re-signing Izzy Daniel, not protecting her, and hoping Phase 4 ends without a selection process?
@HarJournalist If other teams operate their stadium, do they not have more costs? Therefore would obviously have to have higher revenue to offset those costs. Why are we using revenue as the benchmark?
@brown_dan22@MarkUkLeaf@DISGU15ED Yep, in last year's final rankings - France are placed above Norway despite having a worse record. This is because they finished 6th in their group, and Norway 7th in the other group.
@MarkUkLeaf The only (semi-realistic) caveat is the Denmark are hosting in 2025 and cannot be relegated. If they finish 8th, the worst 7th placed team would go down. So it could be two from Group B, in theory.
@MarkUkLeaf You are wrong. Position in group is ahead of points in the tiebreak for final ranking. If you are 8th, you're one of the bottom two ranked teams.
@MarkUkLeaf@DISGU15ED I'm sure the only time that becomes relevant is when a relegation candidate is hosting next year's tournament and is ineligible for relegation. So it can be the worst 7th placed team. First tie breaker is group placing, so both 8th placed teams will always be lowest ranked.
@MarkUkLeaf@DISGU15ED I think you have this wrong. First tie breaker is position in group - so 7th will always be ranked higher than 8th. A single win against Austria may well be enough. https://t.co/xXcSZve0jV
@craig_killie Perhaps. Given the tiny away allocations now at those games it'd be a stupid hill to die on. Say the price cap is Β£20, it's a loss of about Β£60k a season for each team from those games. But any decision made around those games boils down to posturing - so it could be an issue.
@SPFLWatch@rparker1877 It occurs on their coverage of every sport. Ice hockey is the same, NHL, IIHF or local British stuff. Not a broadcasting expert - but the weak point of failure has to be something in their own control.
@TeamGBicehockey Is there any way we can get our hands on the other Nike gear the team are wearing? Caps, t-shirts, hoodies, zippers etc. Been desperate for three years to pick some of it up lol. Could Nike, IIHF or anyone help?
@APBuxton I think I ask every year, and I realise it's licensed through IIHF, but is there any chance at all of fans getting their hands on some of the Nike gear? It's incredible. I'd pay lots of money for that cap Bownsy is wearing in the preview π
