In this new season of Anikulapo, @kunleafo tows the path of building the characters and widening the story so that the scope of it spreads to so many more characters, all interwoven one way or another.
It’ll be a disappointing watch to anyone who saw it looking for some sort of closure. This is not that season. This season to me, is more expository than it is fascinating. I believe the goal was to root the characters so that as the story progresses and these characters begin to branch out, the audience won’t be lost.
If that is the case, then it is a job so well done.
