NEW INFO: Canes RB Jordan Lyle voluntary self-surrendered after learning the arrest warrant was issued for him on Wednesday.
The warrant says Lyle willfully fled at a high speed from a Sunrise police officer who was in a marked patrol car.
The alleged incident happened July 10
JUST IN: Miami Hurricanes RB Jordan Lyle was arrested on a warrant Thursday in South Florida.
Lyle faces a felony charge of fleeing from cops and also reckless driving.
University of Miami spokesperson tells me:
“We are aware of an incident involving student-athlete Jordan Lyle.
As due legal process runs its course, we will have no further comment at this time.”

SLATER SCOOP: One passenger on the plane saw two people in front of him exchanging text messages with one reading "I'm taking everyone down," a senior aviation official tells me.
That passenger told the flight attendant, who then told the captain.
It was quickly revealed that the text messages were about something completely different, not the aircraft.

The plane, headed to Seattle, never took off and has returned to the gate.

UPDATE: Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office says after an investigation, the threat was determined not to be credible.

The state attorney's office won't move forward after Richards' wife signed a waiver of prosecution and will not cooperate.
Richards also denied physically striking her.
The Florida Panthers have announced the arrest of their equipment manager, Teddy Richards.
He's been charged with domestic battery.
The Panthers, in their announcement, say Richards is suspended from all team activities and facilities pending investigation.
