I've reached my last tweet! I found this course really insightful, and I learned a lot. I enjoyed the Twitter assignment as a unique way to better understand the course material!
What was your favorite lesson from this course? I think mine was week 10 "Feminism & Cyberspace Discourse" because I really enjoyed reading the article for that week.
Social media provides an excellent platform for discourses surrounding feminism. Thankfully we have these platforms to discuss these important issues! #Lesson10
@e_boghen307 A lot of parents have designated "screen time," and I think that's okay in moderation, but living real life experiences are the most important I think!
I think media literacy courses should be mandatory for both high school and elementary school. Learning how to navigate the online world is so important because kids are exposed to it at such a young age!
Do you remember the first time technology was incorporated into your classroom? I can't pinpoint a precise time, but I remember watching my teacher using a smartboard and being in awe lol!
The Disney documentary also made me reflect on how much it's a part of our culture, not just in North America but on a global level. The outreach is mind boggling.
Watching the Disney documentary made me reflect on how Disney content has unconsciously shaped my views and understanding of the world. Especially since many of the nuances cannot be understood when we are young. #Lesson11
