@jolearynash Bluesky, Roblox, Reddit, just a few platforms that are risky for young teenagers even with moderating. The issue shouldn't be banning kids from being online, but forcing the companies to make them safer not just for kids but young adults and vulnerable people aswell.
@writtenoff_mufc Its just going to push alot of kids into ways of finding other platforms that don't have suitable safeguards or getting around age restrictions. Theres also alot of other unsafe platforms not covered that should be. We should be forcing these platforms to make them safer instead.
@Macho_Grande1 I've got 2 teenagers, the solution isn't blanket banning on select platforms, it's about holding these platforms accountable, give them 6 months to set up suitable safeguards, after that fine them daily, not a minimal fine but £10m a day.
@jambo__fett If they've banned both kick and twitch, my guess would be its the livestreaming on YouTube that'd be the main issue, pretty sure thats something that could be locked off with age restrictions without impacting the YouTube experience as a whole.
@MumsnetTowers "Felt powerless" Maybe if parents stopped using tablets and phones as a replacement babysitter then they would have more control over what their kids watch and browse online, but hey you have your little victory parade while your kids find ways around the ban without safeguards.
@elliereeves No what you'll find is more kids finding ways to get online behind their parents backs, making accounts that dont have the safeguards a child account has. Maybe learn not to use YouTube, tiktok ect as a babysitter to keep your kids occupied while you're busy elsewhere.
@Graeme1872rfc Maybe we should stop taking chances on project managers/coaches and bring in someone that can build a solid base for the team. McInnes knows the league inside out, knows the players and given resources could do better than he's done at hearts or Aberdeen on tighter budgets.
@DirtyEffinHippy@totithoth Extraction shooters are a niche unfortunately, telling players that dont like to play those kinds of games to support it in order to support bungie isn't the right call.
@ScottHendo84 Publicly backed him is important though, they obviously knew there was a few clubs looking at him, means they have to offer fair compensation for us to allow him and his backroom staff to leave. Dont think its a coincidence its an RB team though given the links with Marathe.
@4ladshadadream Rather it was this way with us getting a payout for him, than following every other manager since gerrard and sacked halfway through the season with a comp payout. Would be interesting to see if this is an easier way out using RB connections with Marathe.
@ibroxrocks Can see rohl taking it, between being so far from his family and knowing how toxic our fans are towards him, plus we'd actually get comp for him rather than us paying him off halfway through the season
@Bairdric1 We can do what a few teams in england and europe have done and get out of it though for a cost, but wonder how much of that deal still has links to a certain fat geordie.
