Proud to partner with @LegalAidNYC & @MaketheRoadNY to help workers know their rights under @DHSgov's Deferred Action for Labor Enforcement (DALE).
DALE ensures workers can engage in labor law investigations—like prevailing wage theft—without fear of retaliation or deportation.
In The Bronx, where 1 in 3 households live below the poverty line, @NYCSanitation increased vendor tickets by 29%
Tickets range from $25 -$1000, forcing vendors like Miguel to lose housing
This war on working families must end. We need #PermitsNotTickets https://t.co/zdm8Q7EXG6

Leaving excluded workers out of the budget is a huge missed opportunity.
The Unemployment Bridge Program would give 750k+ New Yorkers a lifeline when they lose work. It’s good for excluded workers and our state as a whole.
Our statement on the one-house budget resolutions:
One group of New Yorkers left out of today’s speech?
The state’s excluded workers, the 750,000 and growing freelancers, domestic workers, street vendors, day laborers, farm workers, and recently decarcerated workers who are shut out of our state’s safety net.
This #InternationalWorkersDay, I intro’d and passed a resolution commemorating ‘#MayDay2023’ in our state!
We honored the invaluable contributions and organizing of NY’s workers.
We must continue to empower, protect, and uplift all workers and their families! #ExcludedNoMore
This #MayDay, 500+ workers across 9 coalitions came together to demand respect & dignity for ALL NY workers:
✅Union members
✅Construction, domestic & sex workers
✅Street vendors
✅Incarcerated workers
✅People in re-entry
✅Minimum wage workers
✅Freelancers
✅& more!
🚨ACTION ALERT: This #MayDay, we march for the excluded, those who toil in homes, on the streets, and behind bars. Join us this year to march for the respect and dignity of ALL workers!

A 🧵 on labor and bail reform: UAW Region 9A opposes Governor Hochul’s proposed changes to the landmark 2019 Bail Reforms. As part of the labor movement, we stand against a system which benefits the wealthy, while average working-class people languish in jail, awaiting trial.
A powerful evening spent with @amazonlabor painting banners and signs for our rally at the historic bus stop near JFK8 🔥

📣 It's time to invest in excluded workers & ensure they have access to the safety net now! #ExcludedNoMore
🗣️ @GovKathyHochul, hear our message loud and clear: Without the Unemployment Bridge Program, our people are back to breadlines and empty plates!

🔊STATEMENT: FEW Coalition Responds to Budget Delay
"@GovKathyHochul & legislative leaders are once again threatening to leave excluded workers out in the cold by failing to include a single cent for unemployment support for the state’s most vulnerable workers."
