Congrats to AHS grad Ambrielle Linscombe for signing to play softball at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Ambi has shown a great deal of dedication and perseverance and will bring that drive to the Islander softball program next year. We can't wait to see what the future holds for Ambi!

AISD held a special reception on Thursday to say goodbye to Superintendent Phil Edwards, who will retire this summer. Thanks to all who joined the celebration. Congratulations, Mr. Edwards, and thank you for your years of dedicated service and leadership to the Wildcat community!
Last week, AISD hosted its annual District Baby Shower for employees, sharing valuable info and resources on a variety of related topics. In addition, members from UTMB's women's health team and a Blue Cross and Blue Shield rep shared info and were there to answer questions.

Last month, 6 AHS seniors participated in the BCPC Career Signing Day, officially agreeing to careers in the petrochemical industry directly out of high school: Bryant Palacios, Eduardo Rodriguez Flores, Emilio Hinojosa, Hunter Henderson, Jose Trejo Martinez, and Tyson Pennucci.
Congratulations to the Angleton High School Color Guard for an outstanding performance at the Winterguard State Finals!

WEATHER UPDATE - All Angleton ISD schools will open with normal schedules and operating hours on Tuesday, January 27, and buses will operate their normal routes and times.
AISD officials continue to monitor the weather and will continue to into Monday evening. We continue to assess district facilities and the potential for issues with road conditions in the area. We will communicate no later than 3:00 p.m. tomorrow about school on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Angleton ISD schools will be closed on Monday, January 26 due to weather. Information about school start times for Tuesday, January 27 will be communicated later.
Coaches and sponsors will communicate with students and parents about extracurricular activities for next week.
