🚨RESIGNED, NOT DECERTIFIED: The officer whose shots killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley has quit, but his family says that's not accountability.

Police were chasing two women accused of stealing diapers and baby clothes from a Walmart in Senatobia, Mississippi. Sgt. Hunter Foster fired three shots into their moving car, wounding the driver and killing Kohen, who was in his mother's arms in the front seat.

The state says the car drove toward officers. But Mississippi Today reports the video shows it turning away as it reached Foster. The family says the fatal shot came through the passenger-side window, from the side, not the front.

Neither woman has been charged with shoplifting.

The Mississippi AG cleared Foster on Oct. 19. He was not charged. The city accepted his resignation on Oct. 21, and the state released his bodycam a day later.

Foster's lawyer says the driver "tried to kill" officers.

Ben Crump: "A badge cannot simply be turned in to escape responsibility." The family's lawyers want him decertified and a DOJ investigation.

Should he lose his badge for good?
