"My name is Nathaniel Dye, and I'm dying of cancer"
"At first I was told I'd have a rough year with treatment and surgery and then be free to live my life. When scans eventually happened further spread was discovered and my prognosis worsened"
"It's all but certain that I'll be dead within three to four years"
"I try not to think about what might have been if the tests, scans and appointments happened more quickly"
"But I know I know waited over 100 days for treatment when the government's target is 62.. And there's a good chance that time spent on waiting lists has cut my life in half - I've just passed by 2000th week and most people will live beyond 4000"
"There's a lot being said about sick notes"
"If my cancer had been caught early, I would be looking at another 30 years of economic productivity, instead, I'm staring down the barrel or early retirement and early death"
"My hope is for everyone else, so that people can avoid ending up like me"
"I hope to see a Labour government elected that will cut waiting times by providing more scans and appointments more quickly"
"I trust Keir Starmer to effect the positive change that is desperately needed"
Next weekend my courageous friend @NathanielD93744 will run the London Marathon while playing trombone - all while suffering from stage 4 bowel cancer.
He's raising for @macmillancancer - please donate if you can (request a tune?): https://t.co/MAZVm0lZho
Today is the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion and ten years of Russia's war with Ukraine
I would like to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died during this horrible war.
Our heroic Defenders who laid down their lives for Ukraine's freedom and independence, for our future.
Ukrainians who were killed by Russian attacks on peaceful towns and villages.
Let's remember all those tortured to death by the enemies in prisons, shot for flying the Ukrainian flag or for the words "Slava Ukraini," killed in their homes by Russian missiles.
We remember all those who sacrificed their lives for bringing our Victory closer and all those whose lives were destroyed by Russia.
Eternal memory to all of them.
Music department, except composer, gets no screen credit on UK TV shows. Broadcaster rules apparently.
Here is the phenomenal Boat Story music department. (Pics are of cast members, not musicians obvs..!) Music from Boat Story.
As it's #panto season here's my Mum as #RobinHood in @perthTCH production of the Babes in the Wood. According to the Leven Mail of 13th January 1960 Mum (then Margaret Ferguson) made 'a dashing Robin Hood'. Thanks @BNArchive https://t.co/xpekDAocSF
Hi @PRSforMusic trying to update my address on your website but getting an error. Tried to report this issue but links just send me round in circles - is there an email address?
@PRSforMusic OK found it at last. The fact that the button ('Feedback') is on the far right away from the main body of the page, and is written sideways makes it easy to miss.
But I'm still stuck: trying to post my feedback but the 'I'm not a robot' ignores my click...?
This works out nicely with my #Walthamstow walk earlier. (See pinned tweet). Looking forward to seeing the @JohnOngomBB this Sunday 23rd 5pm at @roseandcrownpub It’s always a great gig!
Reflecting on my amazing music education today whilst writing a thank-you letter to a retiring former conductor of my local youth band who I played for in the 1990s! What a difference he and others made to my future. To all Inspiring, positive and joyful music leaders: Thankyou!
