@body_on_fire@Pocho22059768 I think from an outside perspective it's reasonable to expect the games within the series to play similar but Rise in particular is a big departure in a lot of ways. If you go in with proper expectations it's great but you may not have that expectation established properly.
@EmmaMizuki@Chudacabra Yeah i would agree and i think you could also just describe them as large vs small scale games because the portable games, even Gens, just have smaller scopes than their mainline equivalents.
@sakura24422378@TheBasedMudfish It's def not the only weapon that doesn't clash with monsters but no, that was not really a thing until World. In Wilds it's legit just a iai spirit counter spam machine but before world you actually used the rest of its moveset which had nothing to do with countering.
@Miffo776@genericworm@saltshaken But i think if you aren't willing or able to take the good with the bad then you just aren't willing to actually engage with anything properly, and that applies to glazers and haters in equal measure.
@Miffo776@genericworm@saltshaken True that these games are not good anymore. Monster quality has never been higher than it is in Wilds. From moveset complexity to behaviors to visuals. Combat feels immaculate in endgame Wilds but it has issues in LR and early HR, and the endgame systems had problems until Gog.
@Hunwsturgill34@GenghisConnThr3 You're the one who thinks you're required to buy every game to finish the dex which just is not true if you have friends.
Also you're talking about pokemon quite a lot it seems like you're a closeted fan if anything
@fixchargeblade@Ada2987_art Unfortunately it has the downside of Savage Axe mode feeling like a complete wet noodle but yeah i love charged sword mode in rise too. Actually pairs well with SAED spam rather than being useless.
@body_on_fire@Pocho22059768 My only concern with starting the series with Rise is, and I've seen this happen before, it can set up some lopsided expectations. It's a great game but it's very fast and arcade-y and some people will enjoy Rise but none of the other games because they're much slower.
@Ada2987_art@fixchargeblade Idk anything about Rise/SB balance I kinda just go with the flow but I love using CB in that game. Axe Hopper + Firing Pin is such a fun combo i love jumping over monsters and popping like 40 phials at once, especially with impact phials
@Hunwsturgill34@GenghisConnThr3 That was the best you could do? Pretty sad, man. Not only are you miserable and unlikable, you're not even good at dissing people
@Hunwsturgill34@GenghisConnThr3 Probably spent like, 25 minutes on that, max, while at work on my lunch break. It was mainly for my friends in discord but i posted it here for fun, why wouldn't I? You seem very insecure and that shows by you going into my page for something to try to dunk on me with but
@Hunwsturgill34@GenghisConnThr3 Silly, you're just adding a new thing to complain about because you know your complaints hold no water. Also lots of Pokemon fans have friends Pokemon is incredibly popular and lots of my friends I met through Pokemon. You'd have similar experiences if you were likable.
@Hunwsturgill34@GenghisConnThr3 SwSh are $60. The DLC is not required to complete any aspect of the base game so the price of the DLC doesn't actually matter. That's separate content with its own story. ZA is $70 but does not require any outside assistance to finish the dex whatsoever, also unfinished is very
