#WATCH | Delhi: On Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks on the extinction of Hinduism, BJP leader Nalin Kohli says, BJP leader Nalin Kohli says, "It is good to see that Mallikarjun Kharge is concerned about Hinduism and its extinction. Since he is so concerned, he should speak to Rahul Gandhi and avoid associating with people like Neha Bora, who draw inspiration from Bangladesh... He should also speak to his own family, including his son, a Karnataka minister, who has made objectionable remarks on Sanatan Dharma, and other leaders who have described Sanatan Dharma as a disease..."
#WATCH | Delhi: On the SIR exercise, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal says, "The issue of SIR began in Bihar and was discussed in detail in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. We have repeatedly said that this is not the first time SIR is being conducted in the country. If you conduct it, it is fine, but if we do it, it is wrong. This kind of conduct is not acceptable..."
Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, appearing for Neha Bora argued that the immediate right to contact a lawyer or family member was a crucial safeguard available to a detained person. He further submitted that a kalandara was subsequently presented before the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM).
Referring to the document being read out in court, he argued that it did not mention Section 163, even though announcements through loudspeakers claimed that the provision was in force: Bora Lawyer
Delhi High Court will hear today at 2:30 PM a plea filed by AISA National President Neha challenging a preventive notice issued by a Special Executive Magistrate after her detention at Mandi House. She has sought quashing of the notice and protection against coercive action.
Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, appearing for Neha Bora, submitted that the matter raises a limited issue concerning notices issued under Sections 126 and 130 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). He told the court that Bora is an AISA leader who is actively involved in public life and argued that the protests in question had been peaceful, with no call or exhortation to violence.
Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma, along with Central Government Standing Counsel Ashish Dixit, appearing for the State, opposed the plea, raising objections to its maintainability and entertainability.
Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan submitted that Bora had been seeking reforms and had, over time, posted tweets urging people to join the protests.
#WATCH | Rampur, UP: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav visited the residence of senior party leader Azam Khan to meet his family.
SP Chief met with Azam Khan's wife, Dr. Tazeen Fatma, after a face-to-face meeting with Azam Khan at the Rampur Jail.
#WATCH | Rampur: After meeting with party leader Azam Khan in jail, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav says, "BJP has a fundamentally antagonistic relationship, a complete mismatch, with knowledge and education... People in the BJP are effectively at zero in this regard. That is precisely why they align themselves with corrupt officials, as evidenced by the fact that they were ALSO recently caught stealing votes. Ever since 2022, the Samajwadi Party has been alleging that the Election Commission is in cahoots with the BJP. Today, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Election Commission is, in fact, directly colluding with the BJP."
When asked if there are any discussions with Azam Khan regarding an alliance in view of upcoming UP assembly elections, he says, "I had a very long conversation with him... We received a substantial list concerning the elections from our alliance partners; I have brought that very list with me for this discussion."
On Azam Khan's health, he says, "His health has improved, though the hardships of prison life will inevitably persist... I am actually on my way to see his family right now... They are like family, and this is certainly not the first time someone has reached out within that family circle..."
#WATCH | Delhi | Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, says, "We are launching BrahMos from all the platforms, whether it is from the ship, from the aircraft, or from the land. We have taken up range extension activities in a phase-wise manner. About the 1500 kilometer range is part of our future roadmap, which is presently at the conceptual stage, and the design has been done, simulation work is going on. We are in discussion with our JV partners for further upgrades to the missile system in the near future, which we will be able to complete."
#WATCH | Delhi: On India-Poland Strategic Partnership, MEA Secretary (West) Sibi George says, "... science and innovation are growing pillars of their bilateral relationship. Building on a Polish delegation’s participation in the AI Impact Summit held in February, the countries agreed to collaborate on research in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and quantum technologies, and to strengthen startup partnerships and links among businesses, research institutions, and innovation ecosystems. The leaders condemned terrorism in all its forms and called for concerted international action—consistent with international law—against terrorists, their networks, safe havens, and financing. They also reaffirmed support for effective, reformed multilateralism centred on the UN Charter. Poland supported India’s membership in a reformed and expanded UN Security Council, and the leaders exchanged views on major regional and international developments."
#WATCH | Delhi | Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, says, "We have received inquiries from a few of the countries that have envisaged keen interest in the air launched BrahMos. These countries have Su-30 platforms in their inventory. In addition, some countries have also expressed their desire for the BrahMos NG system. We are engaged in talks with all the interested parties. However, I would like to tell you these countries when we are engaging them, we'll take requisite clearances from both the partners, that is Indian government as well as Russian government."
#WATCH | Delhi | On BrahMos next-generation missile Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, says, "We expect to develop this first model by 2029. This new system will have higher indigenous content and will also feature many new technologies and advanced materials. We need to undertake extensive R&D work, which we have already started. We have chalked out our plans and are steadily moving towards them."
#WATCH | Rampur: After meeting with party leader Azam Khan in jail, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav says, "An injustice has been perpetrated against the family of the respected Azam Khan... They have been subjected to fabricated cases. He has spent so many years in prison. The truth is that the BJP has no concern for education, nor for anything related to it... They have shown no concern for university in fact, they have destroyed university (Jowhar University). A deliberate conspiracy and plot were hatched to ruin university, perhaps no other government, or rather, no other dictatorial regime, has ever caused such devastation to the field of education on this earth."
He adds, "Fabricated cases do not possess the power to keep someone imprisoned indefinitely. It may take time, there might be some delay, but these false charges lack the strength to keep the truth under lock and key... The truth is that the Azam Khan and the Samajwadi Party are working toward establishing a regime of social justice... Certain officials are being used as tools to file fabricated cases; however, even these officials are gradually distancing themselves... I want to emphasize that the dream envisioned by the Azam Khan, a university dedicated to education and shaping the future, is a dream that the Samajwadi Party will work to fulfill."

#WATCH | Delhi | On the increase in the role of private industries in defence production, Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, says, "BrahMos is a fantastic missile industry consortium model. BrahMos has been associated with several private industries, which include MSMEs. There are a set of almost more than 200 industries where we have nurtured them, trained them, certified them, and that became a robust value chain in the country. We are further expanding the ecosystem by roping in new industries, new enterprises, new MSMEs into the BrahMos production and integration chain. A significant share of our orders that we receive from armed forces goes to these private industries only. As a result, so many industries have been put into place, and innumerable job opportunities have been created in the country. Many more opportunities would definitely be created in the future with so many industries and private players coming into the picture."
#WATCH | Delhi | Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace speaks on how the world view changed post Operation Sindoor, during which BrahMos was deployed and used by the IAF against Pakistan
He says, "After Operation Sindoor, the incredible versatility of the missile has proven that it is indeed an enigma, a highly evolved, formidable system for today's complex multi-domain, high-intensity kinetic warfare. As India's unparalleled first-strike weapon, BrahMos has validated its power and supremacy as the most lethal weapon in its class and calibre, capable of eliminating adversaries' targets with deadly accuracy while maintaining stealth, swiftness, and agility so that enemy radars could not track it or any air warning, air defense warning systems also could not track it.
#WATCH | Delhi | On cost reduction benefits, Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace, says, "With Indian share content, the price reduction benefits have already started coming in. When it comes to the raw material, we have started doing value engineering as well as re-engineering of the components; redoing things in a better way and improving the yield and efficiency. In the raw material, in the mechanical part of it, we have already seen a decrease of about 20% in the last 2 years because the vendor base has increased, the value engineering principles, the cost reduction principles, the improved closed-eye forging, and all these have been put in place so that we are getting the cost reduction benefit."
#WATCH | Thiruvananthapuram | Keralam BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar says, "The CPM is a very sad party today... They were a party that was built on opposing the Congress party's politics and corruption. It is sad today to see that the same CPM, because they are desperate to protect Pindra Vijayan from being prosecuted and from being investigated, has surrendered in front of Rahul Gandhi. M.A. Baby and the CPM will justify anything Rahul Gandhi does. It's astonishing and shameful because the same Rahul Gandhi just 6 months ago said that Pindra Vijayan should be sent to jail. M.A. Baby is now finally in love with Rahul Gandhi. Only he can explain that love."
On SC stayed investigation against Pinarayi Vijayan and his relatives in the CMRL-Exalogic payoff case, he says, "SC has not stated it, it has paused it and given him the ability to go to the High Court and have his appeal heard. But otherwise, there has been no stay on the FIR. There's no stay on the ED investigation... the issue is nothing personal against Pinarayi Vijayan, but he was a political leader... he presided over unprecedented corruption... he has to be held accountable for it..."
He adds, "It is clear that the CPM has surrendered and is in the mercy of the Congress govt. Rahul Gandhi from Delhi has given instructions to VD Satheesan that Pinarayi Vijayan should be protected. That is protection that has been brokered by Pinarayi Vijayan's family with Rahul Gandhi... This is widely known to the public... govt is betraying the mandate that the people gave them to prosecute those who are corrupt by protecting Pinarayi Vijayan..."
