@dharamg1@KalKaKricketer@mainbhiengineer Yes thats one of the reason there's so much more to this and trust me if you had a family member working for a govt bank you will actually know that the reality is far worse than whats seen from outside i.e.10-4 pm work, higher ups have the minister-esque attitude which is worse
@KalKaKricketer@dharamg1@mainbhiengineer For a PSU banker, 4–6x can feel like 50x.
PSU branches serve rural customers, farmers & pensioners who visit branches far more frequently. A PSU teller may face a queue of 50 people, while a private-bank counter may have few or none.
Footfall alone changes the service experience.
@dharamg1@KalKaKricketer@mainbhiengineer 4/4
Here's the part often missed:
Despite serving a vastly broader customer base, handling social-banking obligations and enormous transaction volumes, PSU banks can generate profit per employee comparable to or even higher than private banks.
There's a lot more to this.
@dharamg1@KalKaKricketer@mainbhiengineer 3/4
Then comes the perception of "better service".
A PSU teller may be handling dozens of customers simultaneously, while a private-bank counter may have only a few.
Naturally, one can offer more personalised attention when the customer volume is lower.
@dharamg1@KalKaKricketer@mainbhiengineer 2/4
PSU banks also carry the burden of implementing a huge number of govt schemes PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma, KCC, Mudra & many others.
A large part involves tiny-ticket loans, massive volumes which usally turns NPA and psu banker is blamed.
That's not an easy business model.
@dharamg1@KalKaKricketer@mainbhiengineer 1/4 I'll try & explain
The difference is simple: Mass Banking vs Class Banking.
PSU banks serve everyone farmers, rural customers, low-income groups, govt-scheme beneficiaries, salaried customers, HNIs & corporates.
Private banks can focus far more on customers with higher income
@dharamg1@mainbhiengineer An average PSU banker handles almost 50 times of the customers a private banker does. The ratio of customers per employee in PSU bank is way higher than pvt bank.
Its not a psu vs pvt thing, its a bank vs govt thing, workload is insufferable at banks.
Get a grip, mate.
@dharamg1@mainbhiengineer And thats just what they do in their routine work, during audits they have to work till 10-11pm.
Don't be an ignorant soul, only speak for matters you have some idea about. You are luckly none of your family members are working as a banker.
@mahabank@DFS_India Completely understandable @mahabank so here's a suggestion why not open the bank 24x7, 7 days a week but make employees work shift wise in a 8 hour shift daily for 5 days a week? Win win right? Right?

@iNitinTyagi It’s definitely Union, a good union can take care of all the other issues while dead unions like one exist now in almost all the PSBs will worsen each of these issues.
@IndianTechGuide Something those so called feminists(proudrand!s) should be working for but they are busy creating stupid hashtags for views and x payouts, instead of working on such matters all over the country. @DivijaBhasin
