A horrified expression washed over Phillip's face. To stop himself from falling onto his backside, he pulled a staff out of his coat and used it to prop himself up.
The staff was his faithful pallisman, a small crow named Blackcurrant.
"Stay back." He called.
Phillip hated Andrias for the opposite reason, thinking the king had gotten off too easily-
But he wasn't going to say that now. He saw an echo of Emperor Belos in Aldrich's words.
"Y-you!" He spluttered, a chill crawling down his spine.
@ApprenticeLuz "Instead, let me ask you a question. What do you intend to do with me? Kill me again? Go ahead. It's the collector you'll have to answer to."
This whole time, his expression was as if it was carved in stone. Unchanging. Static.
@ApprenticeLuz Goodness, he'd made a bad decision speaking with Luz.
"And why, pray tell, would I do that? You've beaten me once, Luz. I have little doubt you could do it again, and going after someone close to you is just poking the bear."
@ApprenticeLuz "Then, I won't tell it." He sighed, shaking his head.
"No, no, I'm not here for revenge... atonement, in fact. Although you likely don't believe me, it's the truth."

But, as he walked off, he said sometbing to himself. An old bible quote.
"The soul that sinneth, the same shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father." It truly was a relief to hear Hunter was doing well. That he'd got a second chance at life.
@ToxicusCordis "Darius, I do believe it is his choice to make. Not yours." Phillip tried to hold his tongue, he knew that he'd done far too much to be granted even a shred of benefit of the doubt... but still, he had to plead his case.

"All I ask is you give him the letter. It's his choice what to do. If he truly never wants to see me again, then... that is that. I shall respect it. I am nothing if not a man of my word."
A small bow, as he decided it best to take his leave.
