I met @Morris_Monye yesterday. When he mentioned his named, I laughed hard because we had blocked each other. But the laughter was because I was thinking, “no way I’d block someone like this if we knew each other before”, because he is a gentleman to the core.
Proved my decision to never block anyone again right. Still unblocking those I blocked before. There should be an “unblock all” button. Not because everyone is like Morris, but because I don’t know them enough to close my world on them.
When I think about it, there is no Twitter user I have ever met offline that I don’t end up seeing their humanity, no matter how heated whatever exchange we had.
That for me is the beauty of humanity. To see our layers beyond the things that divide us. And to have enough humanity to shake hands amidst those differences.
Because when push comes to shove, none of us is so right to make all of us so wrong. We are all human. We must never be lower.

This evening he was appointed by President Tinubu as pioneer Managing Director/CEO of the new South East Development Commission (SEDC), subject to Senate confirmation.
